Q
Where does the SPF come from? I don't see any common chemical or physical sunscreens in the ingredients.
Asked by Melanie
Official Answer By Andalou Naturals - Brand Engage
You ill find the Active Ingredients under Our Formula when you pull up the product on our website as well as on the box the product comes in: Active INGREDIENTS: Homosalate 12.0%, Octisalate 4.0%, Avobenzone 3.0%Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is this meant to be a daily moisturizer, or just used as strictly sunscreen?
Asked by Kfelt
Official Answer By Andalou Naturals - Brand Engage
Our facial SPF lotions are a moisturizer plus sunscreen. For dry and/or sensitive skin however, we recommend using both a moisturizer AND the SPF. Applying SPF is always your last skincare step. For those with normal or oily skin, our SPF facial lotions take the place of your regular daytime moisturizer. Our products are formulated by skin type so be sure to use the right product for you. Q
Wouldn't the citrus oils in this product cause photosensitivity? Please explain
Asked by Mimi Bee
Official Answer By Andalou Naturals - Brand Engage
To address your concern with citrus oils in our products, natural aroma blends often begin with pure orange essential oil. Orange oil does not contain high levels of furanocoumarins (the botanical constituent causing phototoxicity), and therefore is not identified as a phototoxicity concern, nor are there restrictions for its use by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) - the globally recognized and accepted risk-management for fragrance use.Was this answer helpful to you

A new favorite brand and product!

I've been using this every morning, and I love it. I have Rosacea and combination skin that feels and looks better if I treat it with gentle, more moisturizing products. I think this lotion could be a year round favorite. My makeup goes on nicely over it, there's no irritation, and it smells great. ...

Andalou lotion

I wanted to love this lotion, it's absorbed really fast and doesn't leave white residue on face. But unfortunately it caused my skin to breakout. If you have acne prone skin, this is not for you. Going back

I was reading the other reviews. I have been using Andalou products for years. They absolutely do not make my acne prone skin breakout so I am extremely loyal. No scent on this cream but other Andalou products I use smell great.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I love this light weight SPF moisturizer

Been using this for several years now. A little goes a long way. Takes a few minutes to absorb. No scent. When absorbed, makes a smooth canvas for me to then put make-up primer on (and then my tinted moisturizer & bronzer blush). LOVE that it's cruelty-free!!! Great product at a reasonable price.

Absorbs quickly, no white cast, and my husband says it smells like lemonade. I also feel like it gives my skin a nice glow and I get compliments on my skin when I wear it.

Greasy and Painful Eye Sting

This never dries down and appears very greasy on the skin. Additionally this stung my eyes so bad that they swelled shut. Used this up as a body spf it was so painful.

It works, but stings by 3pm

I used this daily, but switching away from it due to its tendency to melt down my face by the afternoon. Typically this is the only face product I use all day so I know it's the Andalou moisturizer/SPF that's stinging my eyes. Otherwise, has a pleasant smell, lightweight, absorbs pretty easily, but does leave a sheen and somewhat greasy feeling along the skin surface.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
