This stuff isn't trying to fool anyone. It literally tells you on the packaging that it is going to be thick, sticky and take at least ten minutes to really soak into your skin. And it does. I thought it felt really nice, just this cooling, thick, layer of moisture you rub into the skin. And then it...

Winter essential

Seriously a winter essential. As soon as it starts to cool down my hands start to chap and crack and get so irritated and painful. I always keep the 101 Dry Skin Super Cream on my nightstand. It feels so soft and soothing right away. My hands feel so much better when I wake up.

I would not recommend this "lotion" or "ointment" It does not really do anything for my eczema prone skin, except stick and make my hands feel nasty.

it's super tacky a little goes a long way but i don't recommend wearing it on your face if you have sensitive skin i started getting pimples right away and im not prone to getting pimples. I use it on the back of my hands and knees/elbows works great for cold/hot dry weather.

I have been working to replace all the cosmetics in my line up with cruelty-free alternatives over the last several years. My last hold-out is replacing my Cera Ve Moisturizing Cream, which is a great value, lasts forever, and has been super effective against my dry, flaky winter skin on my face. I picked up the Lano 101 as an impulse buy after seeing the advertising on the end cap about their 5-star reviews and thought I would give it a try as a possible replacement. While you don't get as much product as my drugstore favorite, the price point isn't too painful, a little goes a long way, it is cruelty-free, and the packaging is recyclable. However, I unfortunately got through only about half of the package and threw in the towel. This product has a very slick (not quite oily but not a cream either) consistency that unfortunately just doesn't sink into my skin. I find that it sits on top of my skin and leaves greasy marks on my pillows/clothes while I still wake up with dry, flaky skin. I coupled it with my Cera Ve for a couple of weeks to see if that helped but when I put the Lano first, it seems to prevent my moisturizing cream from sinking in, similar to topping with Vaseline to use as a barrier. My super-dry skin may be a contributing factor but this just wasn't for me.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Eczema holy grail

I've bought this product three times over (as well as a few others from this brand), it has really helped my eczema that other OTC products couldn't help. I love using it at night as a thick face cream to lock in my products, my skin is super moisturised and soft in the morning.
