Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent upgrade from my old blow dryer! I needed a new blow dryer, and this is such an upgrade from my old one!! Really fantastic even heat with multiple settings. I have very thin, long hair, and a lot of it. This blow dryer did not make it dry or frizzy, it is also super light weight and quiet, but surprisingly powerful. My arm never got tired and my boyfriend never woke up when I was using it! Love the cool shot feature for setting a style in place, allows for maintaining a lot of volume! Highly recommend.
Most Helpful Critical Review Didn't last a full year I was so excited to finally have a valid reason to chunk my 7 yr old Conair blow dryer when it bombed on me!
I'd been eyeballing hot tools irons and dryers for a long time and had an idea of which one I wanted. I chose this one, unfortunately. I LOVED my new dryer but after 8 short months it literally blew up in my hands one morning. It was a disaster!! Ruined my bathroom counter tops, cabinet ( I grabbed it in a frenzy, dropped it, then hit my cabinet as it was still flaming hot)
I called Ulta and ,understandably, they couldn't give me an exchange bc the time limit had expired to do so. I called Hot Tools and never heard back from them.
Didn't make a big deal about it. I knew it was a good brand and this one happened to be a "lemon". So, I purchased yet another Hot Tools. Only upgraded this time. Low and behold 4 months later the same exact thing happened AGAIN!! Except this time we were in our brand new just built home so I knew it wasn't our outlets. Hubs was furious bc it ruined the entire outlet (yikes). He demanded I call Hot Tools, so I did. Unfortunately, still no help.
Not sure if this fiasco was just oddly coincidental or what but geez I hated so bad I've had horrible experiences with Hot Tools from product to customer service. I believe in them so much, I'm debating on which dryer to purchase from them next ha!
I really wished customer service would've be better help!!

This hairdryer lasted just over a year! All of a sudden, it stopped blowing hot air. Prior to now, I never had a hairdryer last less than 8 years. And, up until now, I had only purchased cheap Conair hairdryers. I finally buy a hairdryer that is much more expensive and it dies a year later!! Based on everyone else's comments here, my experience is not unique. I suggest you do not purchase this hairdryer.

Thought maybe it was just me, but after reading other reviews it seems this hair dryer doesn't last long. I've only had it a year. Like others have bought cheaper hair dryers that have lasted years.

I use this to dry my hair. I do think it is making my hair shinier. It is not as powerful as my previous dryer, but it seems to dry my hair in about the same time, which is probably better for my hair. I like the way it feels in my hands. So far so good.

Calling this Hot Tools hairdryer "Professional" is a stretch. This hair dryer will dry your hair, eventually. I was excited to see this hairdryer add the option to choose your own ION setting, this gives you control over how sleek or voluminous your hair will be that day. With the ION setting, you can dial it in and get the best of both worlds. This hair dryer doesn't get hot enough to straighten your hair or heat up a round brush to add volume or body. The directional nozzle is too wide, not focused enough, heat and air leaks out around the round brush. This hairdryer is lightweight and would only be useful as a travel dryer.

Heats up nicely but power on/off button is right where you hold the dryer. Turns off repeatedly in the middle of drying hair.

This blow dryer started dying after 1 year of minimal use and now it's only blowing out a bit of hot air out, also when it was working, it would be so hot that it would burn you're hair and sometimes you're hand if you touched the gold rim on the hair dryer

For the price, I expected this blow dryer to last longer than a year. Sparks start shooting out, then it completely went out!! I only blow dryer my hair once a week, if that. It worked perfectly when I first bought it, but I do not understand why this would give out after a yeAr. Never repurchasing again.

The diffuser will not stay attached to the dryer when it becomes hot. It is an incredibly frustrating and bad experience. I've learned to be quite a good catch, though, able to catch it about 15x while I spend 2 minutes drying my hair. Then, in frustration, remove the diffuser altogether. The problem is I WANTED THE DIFFUSER for my naturally curly hair. Bad option if that's what you want.

Usually love hot tool products but this one didn't work so much for me. Mainly got it to diffuse my hair but left it very frizzy. Plus side it does well to straighten hair.

Not a fan. Not good for thick hair. Takes forever to dry and I still feel like it never gets completely dry. Not good for oily hair.

My hairdryer pooped out on me, and I'm so happy that it did! I previously owned a Hot Tools hairdryer, but this one is much much better. My hair is silky smooth after using it.
It doesn't seems like it has a lot of power when you turn it on, but it works wonders.

Was super excited with this hair dryer. As with a lot of the other low reviews it died before I had it year. I've had $19.99 hair dryers last for years and this nearly quadruple price one didn't make it a year. I worked fine one day and would not turn on the next.......

I wouldn't recommend or purchase this blow dryer again in fact I was completely turned off from the brand altogether. It didn't get hot enough to give me a frizz free shiny blowout, and I can assure you it does not get better over time. Huge disappointment.

I love this blow dryer right now. It's lightweight and dries my hair relatively quickly. I read some of the other reviews and I'm hoping it doesn't die on me soon! My only complaint so far is the cool shot button is kind of a pain to use and doesn't seem to want to stay cool. Otherwise I'm happy so far!

I use a hairdryer four days a week. I bought this one and used it maybe two weeks total and the motor went out in it. Very disappointed considering I paid a lot more than what I usually spend on hair dryers that have lasted me a few years. The diffuser didn't stay on the dryer when using it. Overpriced for the quality of the product.

I have been in need of a new hair dryer for a while. I originally went into the store looking for another brand and found this one. I liked the look of this one better and it was lighter than the other hair dryer. I tried it for the first time and wow! It left my hair shiny and not tangled, my last hair dryer tangled my hair a lot. My hair feels softer and lighter. I love this hair dryer!

Would not purchase again. It lasted only 9 months. Handle would get burning hot when blowing out hair. Then finally sparks started flying out.
