More then just an amazing face primer! I have to start by saying this is one of the best primers I've ever used. That says quite a bit coming from me, because I havent ever found a primer that does everything it says its going to do. I was blown away with this primer. I was a little stunned that it didn't come in a glass container, considering the price, and brand. However the actual product inside is gold. My skin is terribly dry, has dry patches, and acne issues. I was pleasantly surprised over time, how well this product took care of my skin. My face feels hydrated, dewy, and overall beautiful! This primer really helped my skin concerns, while making my makeup application look, and blend flawlessly! It doesnt stick to my dry patches either, which is super hard to find in a primer, with this consistency! First of all the packaging is very stunning, and luxury. Not to mention after you finish the bottle, you can buy a refillable pack for it. It's completely reusable, recyclable, and environment friendly. This is such a great idea for makeup companies, as I wish more would do this to save on the planet. I use this right after my moisturizer before foundation. I use about two pumps, because it completely fills in my pores, and acne scars that are left on my face. It's extremely hydrating, so I'd even consider using this as a moisturizer/primer. It feels so silky smooth after applied, that foundation just glides over your face. It feels a little dewy, but also a little matte. It's hard to explain, but it feels in between a silicone, and water based primer. I cant get over how silky your face feels after applied. It's extremely travel friendly, and you don't have to worry about it breaking on the go. It smells like a hint of rose, but not to overpowering. I'm not a rose smelling fan, but this smells extremely good. I honestly have to say I would reccomend this to all skin types! The price is extremely steep, but I feel like this will last you quite awhile. I would say at least two months. This was my first time trying Dior, and it blew me away! I'd be shocked to hear anyone say they didn't like it! This is my ultimate favorite primer to date this far!

Broke me out, heavily scented, and made my look gr I was underwhelmed by this, but not deeply disappointed either. This was just okay. The product comes in the form of a slightly runny, pearly lotion contained in a pump bottle that definitely looks and feels very luxe, which one would expect from Dior. The bottle is very aesthetically pleasing and has a nice heft to it. The pump is smooth and dispenses the product gently, so its not splashing off your fingers from the force of the pump.
The lotion itself smells like, as a favorite influencer of mine has put it, a rich baby. It has a baby lotion scent with a more nuanced depth. It does smell nice. The fragrance is not overpowering, as some luxury skincare products can be, but its definitely added to a degree that its meant to be noticed. Like I said, not unpleasant, but heavier than Id personally prefer in my skincare.
The lotion itself is a very pale pink with a subtle glowy sheen. It is like a very thick serum. Its thin enough that if you dispensed it on a plate, then turned that plate vertical, it would start to run after a couple seconds. Applied, this did not provide any skin blurring or perfecting qualities as it expressly claims to do, but it does make you look bright and awake. The finish this leaves is dewy and slightly pearly. You do not have to worry about a tin-man effect. It is very subtle and flattering on fair to light skintones. That said, I could see this being too ashy on medium to dark skintones, even after thorough blending and absorption. Luxury brands have had a long history of not adequately catering to customers of color, and this product is no exception.
The ingredients contained are less geared towards skincare and absolutely more geared towards cosmetics, as it does not contain more than a handful of skin-nourishing ingredients. Its very oily feeling from the shea butter and variety of silicone compounds that are included, and while this was great for my dry skin, it did break me out, which is unusual for me as I generally do not get acne from products, and my skin is decidedly not sensitive.
If you are on the hunt for a sheer, everyday glowy base product, but dont have sensitive skin, are not sensitive to fragrance, do not have oily skin, or are not acne prone, then the Dior Dreamskin Care & Perfect Skin Perfector could work for you. However, if any of those things apply to you, then Id keep looking.
