Most Helpful Positive Review I found my new shampoo and conditioner I've been looking for a replacement line, as I was getting some extra hair loss with my old products. I tried the Restore line from Living Proof and it was ok but not great for me. This line is more than ok - it's great! I've only used 3 times and am already noticing a difference. Way less frizz!
As it is a low-suds shampoo, I wet and then work it in a little bit at a time to reach section of my scalp, then massage my scalp thoroughly, then start working product down the rest of my hair. Then I comb through. With this product my curls start to clump with just shampoo! And my hair feels CLEAN not slimy.
Conditioner is super light. You don't need a much as you think. Work a normal amount through section by section, then just keep working it through. Then comb through. I was surprised how much less I needed.
Curl enhancer works fine on my 2Cs but I need the stronger version for my 3s for frizz control. But again, it's light but still works.
I also notice with Living Proof that I have a much less itchy scalp. The Full line completely eliminated all dandruff/itch, but is too harsh for my hair. Restore line works as long as I wash at least 2x/week. So far, the curly line seems to work somewhere in-between the two. Washing once or twice a week makes my scalp very happy! Bonus!
Most Helpful Critical Review I would not buy again I gave this stuff a try after debating between the Living Proof volume formula and the Living Proof curl formula. My hair was very curly when I was a kid (ringlet curls) but as I continue to get older it seems to get less and less curly. Most days it is wavy at best. Recently I've been focusing on volume so I tried this stuff and… nothing. Really nothing. I washed my hair in cooler water, I used everything as directed, I scrunched, air dried, blow dried, but in the end my hair did not gain a single curl from the experiment. Unfortunately I cannot recommend and this was the first Living Proof product that I've tried.. I may not try another now.

Add apple cider vinegar rinse and it's great! 5

I got this kit after a stylist used a different curl cream on my hair and I lived the texture it added. This kit definitely defines texture, and makes my bleached hair appear a lot healthier than it is. I do an apple cider vinegar rinse before washing my hair with the shampoo and conditioner to prevent a build up of the curl cream. I like that it dries all the way and doesn't stay sticky. If you want this kit to work brush your hair while you're in the shower with the conditioner in, not after it dries.
I will buy this again! 5

I did not think shampoo and conditioner would really help with curls and was glad they had a travel size that I could try. I was wrong, it makes a HUGE difference! Love my curls :)

Shampoo doesn't lather, didn't feel like conditioner did anything. I added styling product, and hair ended up being matted, couldn't comb through!
Big Improvement 4

I think this is a big improvement over LIving Proof's previous curl line. People have had nothing but nice comments since I started using the products which have turned my wavy short hair to curly. Highly recommend the whole line - especially the gel.
Made my hair very greasy! 1

The smell of this product is okay but it definitely wasn't cleaning my hair at all. It makes it really greasy and disgusting to touch after it dries. This is definitely one of the worst products I've ever tried.

I wanted to love it. The scent is incredible! And sure, my wavy 2b fine hair curled right after the towel drying, but it was also dry and frizzy, and weighed-down dull. Plus my scalp felt unclean and was oily.
I do like the curl gel, which I will continue to utilize. But as another reviewer put it, I was underwhelmed.

I used this product once a week when I wash my hair and it is the best thing in the whole world. By far this line for wavy/curly/coily hair. This is something really really good and I would 100% use this all the time because this is the best thing in the world.
Itchy Scalp plus Meh 2

Like others have mentioned, this can cause an itchy scalp. The only new addition to my routine was this shampoo & conditioner and after each use my scale was really itchy. The set (other than the itch) was fine but I got better results for my waves from the Full line. This is a miss for me.
Not good 1

The shampoo didn't feel like shampoo. The curl enhancer didn't help at all. Not for me. Not good.
Underwhelmed 1
Lisa from Ohio
Purchased based on reviews and was underwhelmed with the products. Nothing special about the shampoo or conditioner - in fact I felt like they both were less than average. The smell was ok - didn't have the high end smell I was expecting and the curl enhancer requires too many steps for my naturally wavy hair for me to give a full review on. (Maybe if I had tighter curl I'd take the steps outlined for the enhancer) It's more hype than results on this one for me.
Not for me. 2

The smell is great and at first wash, it seemed wonderful. It helped my curls clump and my scalp really liked it. However after a few washes, it was an obvious no. The product left my hair looking greasy, stringy, and frizzy.

The shampoo and conditioner are ok, i feel like it didn't do a lot for my hair and is honestly very expensive for how much product you get, but this is also a nice, hair salon brand. I was only able to get about 5 washes worth of shampoo and conditioner but I do have very long hair that goes to right about my butt. The curl definer is very good though and I will probably buy the full size. I tried the Shea Moisture curl & style milk, the Living Proof gel sample that came with this kit, and The Curl Friend defining curl cream and the living proof curl definer was the best out of all of them in my opinion. It doesn't leave a residue that makes your hair feel gross like the others did and i think it smells pretty good.
It's a no for me 2

I had high hopes after hearing great things, but I was let down. The shampoo, conditioner and styler did not work for me. My scalp reacted poorly to it (I'm pretty sure it was a minor allergic reaction), it didn't seem to give any extra benefit for my hair or waves, and I definitely couldn't go even a day between washes without getting greasy. I'd return it if I had kept the box. I'm giving an extra star because the tiny gel sample seemed nice for my hair and products smell lovely (it's like a hint of creamsicle).

Nope! 1
Beauty buff from New Jersey
Bought it based on positive reviews thinking it would be worth the money. Used it once and returned. Instantly felt a strange sensation on my head when washing my hair, got out of the shower and realized I was having an allergic reaction. My scalp was bright red and so was my face where the shampoo and conditioner touched. Also had lots of hair in the drain after my shower and that never happens!
I plan on buying the full sized items when I run out! 5

I have really sensitive skin so I've been experimenting with different stuff to see what I can use. I wanted to find something that will help my curls come back after damage. So far this has been perfect and my hair looks great and I can see the curls slowly coming back now. Other products I've tried irritated my scalp and made my head itch. Or even dried my hair out really bad which is the opposite of what I needed

Fights frizz and enhances waves, but not great at detangling 4
Em from Bangor, ME
I loved these products and how they smoothed and enhanced my 2c-3a waves/curls. I have long, highlighted blond hair, but after over a year with no haircut or highlights (due to the pandemic), I was afraid I was loosing my curls and my hair just felt like a long, frizzy mess. These projects really brought my curls and waves back to life.
While I definitely recommend these products and will buy the shampoo and curl cream again, I'm not sure I'll continue to use the conditioner. It didn't condition my hair enough and also seemed to make my hair tangle more than usual. I had a terrible time combing it even when I still had the conditioner in.
Good for wavy hair 5
Acooper530 from NJ
I got this set to try for my wavy hair and I'm liking it. It smells good, like the other living proof products. The shampoo doesn't lather. It's definitely nourishing without being super heavy, as long as you wash it out really thoroughly. The curl enhancing cream is great! I like it better than the devacurl wavy enhancing cream.
Perfect CG Set 5

(2c/3a hair). This new curly line is amazing. I only shampoo once/week, and this set was impressive as heck. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical because I thought the shampoo had dried my hair out, but the conditioner and leave-in fixed all of that, without weighing down my curls/waves. I also have colored hair (blue), and it hardly removed any of the color, even with warm water. Well worth the money—going to purchase the whole set in full-size products!
Note: I didn't use the sample size gel that comes with it, yet.
Not Loving It 2

It smells pretty good. But it's sooooo drying and doesn't give enough slip. I've never had to work so hard to comb wet hair. It also gave me no volume. I'm very disappointed. I would return it but I got rid of the package
