Most Helpful Positive Review every day styling!
I have thick, wavy/curly hair and lots of it. I also color and highlight as well as heat style. I have been looking for ways to minimize the heat damage and decided to just do classic blowouts at home. I am already pretty good with a round brush but wanted something less "flippy".. so after much research I found this. Picked it up at my local Ulta. I used it a few times and it was OK.. not great, just OK. It straightens my hair but nowhere near as my round brush can. I find my hair slides through the bristles too quickly and the brush is not very grippy with my hair. Then I used it on second day hair with my blow dryer..... and OMG! YES! FINALLY!!! I shower in the morning and my hair tends to get a little wet around the crown and back, so I separated into 3 sections and went over each one with the brush and a dryer. The results? Sleek and smooth hair. No more frizzies around the nape area. I am amazed! the paddle gets hot enough to straighten with very little damage. I completely recommend this. If you have thick, curly or wavy hair, long hair.. and want a straighter look, this is a great brush to use. the handle is comfortable and the paddle area large enough for shoulder length or longer hair. It is also great for "rough" drying and then following up with a flat iron or curling iron. It does not pull or rip my hair out, which is a plus as well.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not worth the money
This seemed like a good brush, but after first use with the hair dryer I changed my mind. I could smell the chemicals from the brush and the plastic/silicone like handle left a residue on my hands. This will be going back. Not worth the money. Didn't reduce drying time. Other brushes at the same price point work much better than this!

I have had this brush (in a older version) for about 5 years now. I am not one to write reviews, but I really do love this brush. It gives you an awesome at home blowout, reduces the time, and makes your hair soft. I have thin wavy hair that I can not let air dry. If I do a blow out with this brush (maybe once a week) can last up to three days, even through sleeping. At one point I thought "maybe I have just finally learned to blow out my own hair" so I tried a different brush and got horrible results. I am back to this brush and loving it. I do not use a lot of product in my hair and I do not use this brush more than once a week so it has really lasted me. I would 10/10 recommend this brush.
Buy this brush!
Cmarie from Detroit,MI
I went to Ulta to purchase a CHI brush but they were sold out. I found this brush and decided to give it a try. I am in love! This brush was awesome. It made my hair straighter and gave it more shine versus blowing out with a Denman brush. The brush is durable and didn't snag or lose bristles during my blowout. I'd definitely buy it again
I hate this brush!
Frizzy Haired from Columbus, OH
I hate this brush! Don't waste your money on buying it. I have shoulder length hair that has a tendency to frizz when I blow dry it and this brush makes my hair frizzy. It doesn't smooth or straighten like it claims. And using smoothing and straightening balms on my hair doesn't help. It is going back to the store and I'm going to exchange it for a different type of flat brush if I can find one that I like. I had a ceramic flat brush that I loved that I've tried to replace because those bristles started breaking off because the brush is old and well used, but I can't find one that's similar to replace it.
I like it and I have very fine hair! Good Brush
Dawndidit from Huntersville NC
So I needed a good brush and decided to give this one a try. I have very fine hair (colored)with some wave to it and I blow and straighten my hair about 2X a week. With fine hair like mine, it doesn't matter what brush I use I need product. If you have fine hair like mine you most likely have the same problems I have which are not much fullness, clips and bobby-pins do not stay in etc..I use Kenra Platinum Hot Spray and that in combination with the brush gave me a great blowout with a bit more volume. It was soft and has shine. I like my hair super straight so I went over it with the flat iron but I am happy with it. I like a paddle brush and it's way better then my old one. Some people said that the brush has an odor and I noticed it when I first started using it but after a few minutes it was gone. I don't think you have to go super close with the blow dryer to get the heat that's what the material in the brush is for. My hair dried fast. It's definitely worth a try.
Finally a good brush

I used the brush when I blow-dry my hair and it was amazing. Also used to wrap my hair
Great for thick, curly hair!

I'm a natural and my hair is crazy thick, curly, and long. I've been recently wanting to straighten my hair. I noticed that paddle brushes have been really good with the blow dryer than the comb attachment. And since my blow dry didn't have a comb attachment I thought the paddle brush was a good option. After a ton of research I decided on this brush. I was beyond impressed! It glided through my thick, curly hair with ease. I got the best blow out with this paddle brush than I did with a comb attachment. I would definitely recommend this to other thick, curly hair girls!
Best brush for blowouts

If you have natural hair, thick or very curly hair and want to straighten it this is the best brush.
Rebecca from Reading, PA
I have long, smooth hair of medium thickness and wanted this for daily blow-drying. It definitely cut down my blow-dry time by about a third, so that was really impressive! It also made my hair very smooth and shiny, which looked nice but made it a little flatter-looking than my old paddle brush. I read the reviews first and I can definitely see how this may not work for girls with very fine hair, since it doesn't get a great grip. Definitely workable with my medium-thick hair, though. My hair did get a little staticky with this brush, probably because of the quicker drying time. Overall, I'm glad I purchased it.
Absolutely love this brush

This brush is amazing for drying the hair fast
perfect for thick hair
acoucke from madison
This brush works through my thick hair really easily, it has a heavy feel in the handle and seems really well made. I'm not sure if it really cuts down on dry time though.
BEST BRUSH EVER
Brittany from North Carolina
This is by far the best best I've ever owned. I have long hair about half way down my back and blow drying with this brush not only reduced my drying time but smoothed my hair enough so that I didnt have to use a round brush to smooth it out. I highly recommend this brush.
Doesn't work for fine hair
LiKat from Foxboro, MA
This brush is probably great if you have thicker hair. However, I wouldn't recommend it for fine hair as it doesn't have enough grip. My hair just slides through it and it's useless when I'm drying my hair. I wish I had returned it as I'll never have any use for it.
Best brush ever!!!
Natural Glow from Sandusky, OH
This brush is great! My hair is wavy, thick and does it's own thing. This brush makes it look like I know what I'm doing.
Dane Mom from Fayetteville, NC
I liked the idea of this product. Promised a smooth blowout. The bristles just didn't grip my hair at all. Adding some boar bristles in would have made this perfect. I just couldn't get that tension and pull to give my hair that smooth blowout. I have fine thin hair but a lot of it.
Just what I wanted

My hair is getting a bit longer, and the days are getting more humid. I was looking for something to keep it smooth and sleek. This brush is doing a great job of smoothing my hair and helping with a bit of styling. I might be ready to put my round brushes on the shelf for a while!

I loved this brush, and don't regret buying it at all! Makes my hair so soft and straight

Definitely the styling brush I was look for. At 55, I have a thyroid issue that has weakened my hair. I want to keep it long, so I need a brush that is also gentle. This meets my desires. Recommend highly.
Finally a brush to handle my natural hair!
Kiki from Tampa, Florida
This brush is designed to handle heat , which makes it a great tool for blowouts. The bristles are sturdy enough to handle my kinky natural hair and has a curved center to help stretching the hair out.
I wanted to like it but......
LA girl from New Orleans, LA
I wanted to like this brush. It did make my hair very smooth when I could get it to work, but the bristles are too short. It constantly kept getting stuck in my hair and tangling it up. On top of that, during the first use five bristles fell out. I returned it to the store the very same day with all the bristles in a little bag. The brush cost too much to fall apart on the first day.
CardiganHoarder from Wisconsin
The name elicited a few giggles, but this brush is no joke. It works as advertised, but is so much more than a great brush for blow drying. I do not find the added heat from the aluminum does any sort of damage. The bristles are gentle but provide great scalp stimulation. I find my hair is much less prone to static when I use this to brush my hair out on mornings I don't wash. It seems well made and is comfortable to hold.
Tara K from Auburn Hills, MI
I was really happy with how shiny my hair was aftert blow drying, with minimal product use! I have really long, fine hair and the only reason this got a 4 instead of a 5 rating is because the bristles are a bit short making it a bit harder to " grip" my hair when blow drying a long section.
Best brush for drying hair!
LoveUlta from NC
Best brush ever for drying hair! Quick drying and leaves hair smooth with no frizz.
Good for blowdrying
Expat Mama from Clearwater, FL
I have very thick, wavy hair and blow drying takes a lot of time and energy. I researched hair brushes for my hair type for a long while before deciding to get this one. I have only used this brush once, but it absolutely did cut down drying time, and was gentle on the hair. My hair was smooth and straight after using this, so I am extremely pleased so far. Got this on sale so that was a bonus as well!
Doesn't grip thick hair
Sin City Mel from Las Vegas, NV
I was looking for an alternative to round brushing my blow outs. I have long curly hair that is definitely on the thicker side. I like to blow out so that that I have a loose wave and lots of volume. This brush glided right through my hair and didn't work on wet hair at all. I need something with a grip to it, and this piece was not it. I ended up returning it because I wasn't able to use it as intended.

Best blowout brush ever! Looks like you came from a salon! Very happy with purchase!
