Have been using this for years. Goes on light and feels weightless and smooth on face. Does keep shine away for several hours. Use facial blotters or even a tissue if oil builds up around nose or forehead. Invest in a good powder brush and throw away the puff that comes with it. That is the trick to using this powder and achieving a flawless, smooth finish.
I bought this because I was wanting to try something new but I didn't want to spend so much money, because I use Bare Minerals, and have for 10 years without a problem whatsoever, but like i said, I was looking for a little variety. Well, I applied this after my Bare Minerals Serum Foundation, and I loved the way it looked on my cheeks, made them soft and smooth, but on my nose it made my pores very visible and my dry skin very very dry (probably due to that it is matte, I know, realized it was matte as I was applying the product. Anyways, I liked it except on my nose. As the day went by, I checked myself on my car mirror and I looked cakey, dry, chalky and patchy. It didn't set my foundation right and it looked like it had a lot less coverage than normal. My usual face routine is Bare Minerals Serum Foundation, followed by Bare Minerals Original Powder Foundation and then Bare Minerals Mineral Veil and the results are amazing coverage, and it doesn't cake at all or dry my skin. So my new product trial had a lot to compete with. I gave it two stars because I did like how my cheeks looked at first, but hated that the look didn't last.

I use this product after I put on my makeup. I've never quite been able to find a shine control product that's worked as effectively as I wanted it to, until I started using this stuff! Though there is still some slight shine a couple hours after application, it's much better than the shine control sprays I've used in the past!

This is my go to setting powder! I have normal to combo skin and I love the way this makes my skin look and feel. Does not cake up or look dry underneath my eye's.. It has a real light weight and is very finely milled in my opinion. I've tried a lot of other powders at the drugstore but this is the best one I've tried. I bought a back up too because I don't want to be without it when I get ready. It works and is pretty budget friendly I would definitely recommend it.

I have such complicated feelings for this product, since it works pretty well for me. However, I see a lot of the issues with the product too. Here's the deal: I use liberal amount of a medium coverage, natural finish drugstore foundation and use a normal amount of this powder on a fluffy kabuki brush to set places in my face which may crease or get oily, then I use very little on the rest of my face. A little goes a long way with this, and you have the potential to look cakey really easily if you use too much, especially if you're wearing a matte finish foundation. I'm also pretty pale, and the light shade of this powder works really well for me, especially for the price. The issues with this product are that it makes drier skin look flakey and cakey, and the shade range is pretty abysmal; very few melanated people can use these products without getting lots of flashback. The container of this product is also a problem; I've re-bought this multiple times and every single time I have, the top of the container has cracked or fallen off at some point. I'm not particularly rough on my makeup so I think it's kind of a packaging design flaw. My bottom line is that I would recommend this to paler people who don't struggle with dry skin and I would recommend using a really light touch with it. The cost, the amount you get, and the availability of this product is great. I just wish it was slightly more accessible to more people.

I tried this product to find a cheaper setting powder. I usually use the Cover FX setting powder. Although I hate paying more money for it, I think I'm going to stick to the Cover FX. This powder didn't help control my oil and it creases a looooot. Sorry Maybelline but it's a no from me!

Such a great product that does exactly what it's advertised to do! It also lasts a long time! Perfect amount!

I have super oily skin so I tried this out. This is a holy grail. A little bit of it goes a long way. It kept my face matte all day and controlled my oil.

this product doesn't work as well for me as it's apparently working for everyone else, but for some reason my skin likes to be complicated, so it's nbd. it works abt the same as other products i've tried, and i still really like it - especially for the price. overall, if you want a decent powder that's inexpensive, i'd say this is the way to go.

I've tried many expensive loose powders, this is a great setting powder and just as good as powders at a higher price point

This is my favorite setting powder. I was going to try a more expensive brand, but it's hard for me to switch when this product performs perfect throughout a long day. I put to the side the cotton applicator it comes with and apply the powder with a damp beauty blender over my foundation and concealer with a press-in motion. A lite application will cover beautifully so a little can go a long way. 10/10 would recommend. *note: I keep the cotton applicator and use it for my free hand when applying eyeliner so I don't touch my face with my oily hands*

I've tried so many loose powders for setting my makeup and was very surprised at how great it works. A very little goes a long way. It didn't make my makeup look cakey or patchy, even after a long day of wear. Will definitely repurchase!

I really liked this product especially if you are oily. I have extremely oily skin and this mattified really well. Only thing is I have medium to light skin and I got the medium toned one and it got a bit darker but I was able to work with it.

My skin can be very oily in my T-Zone at the end of a long day, which I personally do not like due to the sweaty look. This powder really does the trick for me without appearing "caked". It sets my concealer well, and brushes off easily while making me matte. An inexpensive way to make your foundation last.

I bought this product bc I know Alissa Ashley, a makeup-youtuber, used to use it and swore by it. This product is decent in terms of oil control and long wear, but the shade range is SO limited and the powder is not transparent so the medium shade doesn't exactly match my skin tone. Also I didn't experience any issues in reapplying the powder later in the day.

Holy mess. The puff is perfect and I love the powder and the way it melts into my skin but there is no way to close the sifter and the cap doesn't screw on. The puff is now covered in powder and the thing keeps popping open 🙄

This isn't totally perfect and doesn't last a full 12 hours, but for the price who cares? I'm trying to spend less on makeup basics (powder, eyeliner, etc.) so I can splurge on foundations and eyeshadows. This replaced a $20 setting powder and works nearly as good. I like that it has a tiny tint, just evens out my face that little bit more. It's not as messy and flyaway as most loose powders I've used. I tip some into the lid and use a powder brush to tap it where I need it. It does a good job reducing oil on my forehead and nose area for a good part of my day. I'll definitely keep buying this.

This powder is amazing!! I use it every day whether I am wearing makeup or not. Before I got this my face used to feel oily about 30 minutes after I did my morning face routine. Now, it feels great all day with only one application and only feels slightly oily around 7 pm but is STILL not shiny! The only thing that could be improved is if a little loop was added to the puff to make it easier to hold, but I can live with that. My face is so happy now and I will definitely buy this forever!! If you have oily skin or combo skin like me, this is a must have product!

I finally found a setting powder that I LOVE. My skin get so oily throughout the day that my makeup will start to come off in patches. This powder sets my face like no other. I don't even need to use setting spray.

I like to eliminate shine and provide a smooth finish to my makeup.

I use this for my general, everyday look but I've noticed that it oxidizes on my skin after a while, making me look darker than intended. I can usually counteract this with just a lighter cream foundation, but cannot get away with wearing this alone.

I like the way this Powder sets the cosmetics on my face to a flawless finish. Very easy to apply.

I have a combo skin and my T-zone gets really oily, but using this product helps a lot. I use this with or without makeup with my Kabuki Brush, and I'm on my 3rd one already (I usually buy mine at drug stores). I decided to leave a comment after seeing a few negative feedbacks. Others claimed this makes their makeup cakey, but for me it is compatible with my makeup and leaves a flawless finish. There are a lot of possibilities why this happens. 🤔First, probably you are not exfoliating enough/properly. Other possible culprits include not using the right skincare or makeup, and simply overdoing it with the foundation and concealer. Finally, one extremely common factor is over-layering a lot of products or not waiting long enough between steps (starting from toner to the very last step. I usually leave at least a minute or two [or more depending on the time I have] until the product settles into the skin before applying another product). One claimed it smells like a Vicks VapoRub. I'm sensitive with smell and just a tiny bit of scent can threw me off. I don't remember the product having a weird smell while using it. So, upon reading the comment, I tried smelling mine but it doesn't have any weird smell. All I can say is "Girl, you need to check where you bought yours or whether it is fake or expired". Others claimed it dries out skin. First of all, this is a Oil-Control loose powder. As the name suggests, it is for people with oily skin or combo and not suitable for dry skin nor normal skin type. So, if you believe your skin does not really produce too much oil like mine (where after 3 to 4 hours my face starts to get oily) then this is not for you. Overall, it all depends on how you take care of your skin, your skin type, the compatibility of the products you use, your makeup/skincare routine, whether the product is fake/expired or overlaying too much product and not waiting long enough between steps and whatnot. It's not easy to find the right product that works, hope you'll find yours. Well, that was a long comment.

Loved this product for the price. I think it is better the fit me loose powder.
