Most Helpful Positive Review Takes Some Practice, But it's Worth It I've been using the Curl Enhancer and Curl Defining Gel for about three weeks. It took some trial and error, but I have finally figured out appropriate amounts to use, and my waves look amazing. My hair is soft, shiny, and defined, there is zero crunch (as long as the appropriate amount is used), and I've noticed significantly less breakage.
I have very thick, coarse 2a/2b waves. My hair gets weighed down easily, my scalp is oil-prone, and my skin/scalp are very sensitive. Most curly products don't work for me or cause issues with my skin, but the Curl Enhancer hasn't caused any issues with these concerns! My skin is clear (no breakouts or irritation), my hair has volume and isn't weighed down, and my scalp/roots aren't an oily mess.
The only problem I did have was figuring out how much to use. A little goes a long way, and using too much can result in buildup. The first time I used it, I used too much, a cast developed, and white particles went flying everywhere when I scrunched out the crunch (gross!). Trial and error fixed that, and I no longer have that issue. Overall, it was worth the hassle because I am very pleased with the results.
Most Helpful Critical Review Just didn't work I've used the Living Proof Nourishing Styling Creme for years on my curly/wavy hair so when they came out with a curly product I was stoked.
I've never been so disappointed.
I bought the trial pack with shampoo, conditioner, and this product and it did nothing. I had frizz, my hair felt heavy and not at all light, and product build up galore. I tried all sorts of combos- no shampoo, no conditioner, then all in succession and still no results.
I stopped using it and went back to their nourishing creme and my hair is back to normal.
If you have curly/wavy hair that can't pick a mood and mixes all together then this might not be for you.

This is in my top 5 products for sure. I have been testing curl creams, gels, mousse ect for years and this one works great. I hope they never stop making this.
Holy curl enhancement! 5

I use a 3/4 pea size amount and omg it make my normally 1C/2A hair 2B waves. It makes my hair look so wavy and pretty and it's so lightweight that it won't weigh my hair down. I also find that it doesn't build up and it doesn't make my sensitive scalp itch. I would recommend this to anybody who has 1C/2A hair and wants to enhance their barely there waves.

I bought this when I want to naturally wave my hair and air dry. I have type 2a hair and as I've gotten to 30 my hair naturally is curly underneath, then wave straight poof throughout but can't complain because 2a hair is easy to manage curly or straight lol. I used this for the first few times and wasn't too convinced as I didn't notice much difference in my actual wave BUT I feel no product hair works alone, that it's a few or more that come together and make it great.
I then combined this with the Living Proof Moisturizing Shine Hair Oil which is great and I always use a multi benefit hair leave in first, Living Proof shine oil treatment to mid lengths and ends, on top apply quarter size on my shoulder length, lastly I use about nickel size of Moroccanoil curl defining cream and I get these loose, developed s-type waves with no crunch or weigh down. Most importantly I scrunch as I air dry few times to avoid touching for frizz and then finish with Not Your Mothers texture spray and kenra dry oil spray for hold and fly aways and LEGIT best combo I've ever used.
New favorite product! 5

I'll literally never use anything else. My hair LOVES this stuff. Definitely follow the advice of the other ladies and ply with the amount a few times, starting with as little as possible. Once you find your sweet spot, this stuff is AMAZING.
Side note, I also have been using the shampoo and conditioner so keep that in mind!

This is an amazing product I used gel on my hair for as long as I could remember because i have very fine hair and nothing seems to hold the waves, but whe I used this from the first time I love it , it left my hair smooth like there was nothing in it, and the curls look beautiful , it also lasts I will definitely buy it again.

I'm in love with this line. My daddy left me some naturally curly hair and I love to play up the curls. No perm
Terrible results for me 1

I see this seems to have good reviews, but that wasn't my experience unfortunately. Every time I've used this I end up with a mass of ugly soft fuzz instead of my beautiful waves. I get better wave definition when I only use my Kerastase Blonde Absolue primer and nothing else! That is sad! I'm going to have to do a little detective work to find out what's the problematic ingredient before trying it again (or throwing it out). I have fine, low-porosity 2b-2c waves that usually don't need much coaxing. My favorite curl cream of all time is the Not Your Mother's Curl Talk in the purple and white tube. That one gives me amazing hold and beautiful wave definition. I thought I would give this one a chance since I have a very favorable perception of Living Proof products, but it was a total fail for me... good thing I only invested in a travel size to try.
PLEASE NEVER GET RID OF THIS STUFF! 5

I LOVE THIS STUFF! Never has my hair looked so good on day 1,2 AND 3! Weightless, curl and wave defining, smells great, conditions, but is light enough it doesn't weigh my hair down or give it a weird texture or pattern. This is an absolute game changer. Like others have said, make sure to start off small and slowly build up, on day 3 my hair can look a little stringy but I used too much product. I've never found a product that meets all my needs and I'm hooked!

The amount used is very important! 5

This is a lighter version of their original leave in styler and it does work MUCH better for my thin, fine wavy hair- that's also grey I might add .It is SO 8MPORTANT to apply it to your hair when the hair is WET, not dripping but as wet as possible- it DOES make a difference.. also, you have to experiment a bit to see how much to add!

I'm so glad Living Proof didn't give up on tweaking their curly hair line. The previous line wasn't bad but the price didn't justify the results for me. I wanted soft, defined waves for my fine hair. Other lines left my hair either heavy or on day 2, dry. With this product, I achieved what I wanted. Day 2 hair wasn't bad either. Mybhair remained soft and kept some definition. I can now feel comfortable keeping my hair natural more often rather than blow drying it straight. It smells great too!
So far, so good 5

I have wavy/curly thin/fine hair. I use this after washing. I use very little so as to not weigh my hair down. It has worked well for frizz and curl definition, but I have only used it twice.

I may have found the right product for my waves. Soft but defined waves. I have tried so, so many products. There was one other line that I found to work but not as accessible to buy. This. This. This will more than enough for me. It also smells amazing. I will now how to buy the shampoo and conditioner. The true test will be in the summertime but Living Proof, thanks for updating your curly/wavy line. Love it.
