Best hair dryer I've ever used I've had this product for less than a week, but I fell in love the first time I used it. I did a ton of research before purchasing, but was still nervous because there are so many similar products available, all different price points. I have fine, thin hair that holds water, so before using the hot tools styler I combed out my hair with a leave in conditioner and let it air dry partially. Then I added a thermal protectant and started styling. I haven't used the high setting because I haven't needed it. The low setting works just fine and leaves my hair smooth and shiny with fewer flyaways than a regular hair dryer. I have not noticed more volume, probably because my hair hangs to mid-back. And I noticed the "cool" setting doesn't feel cool at all. The barrel gets too hot for the air to cool, even on the cool setting, but I typically don't use that feature. I'm hoping the detachable brush is useful if I have to replace it due to wear. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my Hot Tools styler.
Severely burned my hair! I bought this 2 weeks ago and thought it was amazing, untill I went to my stylist yesterday and she said my hair and ends were severely burned and singed. They had become almost crunchy. She had to remove 3 inches to get rid of the damage. I am devastated that it will take a year to grow back that 3 inches, the high settings is way too hot but the low setting takes forever to dry your hair. I refuse to get up at 4 am everyday to spend an hour drying my hair on the low heat setting. If you decide to buy this product just know that it will damage your hair severely. I use heat protectant every time I blow dry my hair and that did not save my hair from this horrible product. I am totally devastated by this
Broke after two years 2

Writing a comment to warn people that this broke - quite literally melted almost in my hands after using it for two years. Did it's job for awhile but cheaply made
Simple & quick 4

Pros
I have shorter hair with many layers. I was surprised by how easy styling my new haircut was. I have a damaged area towards the crown that tends to look like a tumbleweed and this dryer brush smooths it down. I'm still learning the tricks of the trade but am very pleased with my purchase.
Cons
I found the cord length to be too long for my use but a tie wrap fixed that.
Like others have mentioned, the heat settings can be pretty hot especially around the ears & face. I would recommend renaming the low setting to medium and having an even lower Low setting.
Highly don't recommend 1

Unless you want to be picking hundreds of burnt brush bristles out of your rugs, I say stay far away from this product. It gets so unbelievably hot that your hair starts smoking the entire room up and smells of burning hair. The heat burns the bristles off the brush so that the brush itself gives roughly a month of use before the bristles have all disappeared onto your floor. So disappointing. Skip this and buy the reliable Dyson if you can afford to, or the more safe Revlon blow dry brush.

I got this on a half price sale and I didn't expect much but this has been a great product. Wet or dry my hair comes out smooth and shiny. It has a large grip at the top and bottom so it doesn't exhaust your wrist. It does a great and fast job. Love it!!
Great concept, materials need better quality 3

I have been using this type of dryer for a few years, this is an improvement because the bristles on the one piece always break and get smooshed down. In theory it's better because you can swap that out and still have the engine of the dryer. Again, in theory, your not sending the whole dryer to the landfill when the head wears out. These heads are made of really cheap bristles and within 3 months I have to switch out heads because the sides of the oval are completely bent and don't grab the hair.
