I've had this hair dryer for almost 9 years! Works as good as the day I got it. Unfortunately a few days ago the on/off button broke. So I went on a search to see what else was out there… I ended up buying the exact same one. You just can't go wrong with this Babyliss Ceramic Xtreme! I will say on this new one the attachment isn't secure, it won't lock into place like the old one. I don't know if it's a flaw or just a random issue. I did see another reviewer had the same problem. But if you're looking for a great product at an excellent price point try this one!
I've had good luck with 2 BaByliss Pro Carrera dryers in the past, and when my GHD dryer broke last week, I decided to go with another BaByliss from my local Ulta, rather than go without a dryer for a few days while awaiting delivery. I chose the Ceramix Xtreme just because it was cheaper than the Carrera. I should've spent the extra! I prefer the narrow attachment nozzle for any dryer I buy, and while this does have that, it spins around constantly, like it doesn't lock into place. I'm forever having to put my brush down and reposition it, dry another section, repeat. To the point where I really can't style my hair while drying it. The high setting has massive power, blowing my hair all around, and the medium doesn't quite have enough power for my needs. The control switches are positioned up and down and are relatively flat and smooth, making it difficult to switch heat settings and power setting during use. The toggle style switches like what's on the Carrera and GHD are so much more user-friendly! I'll be returning this and going with the Carrera again.

Not the best for the price.

If you have fine curly hair, do not buy this dryer. The low setting blows too hard even with a very large diffuser (which it doesn't come with). My fine hair blows all over the place and if there is any curl left, it is frizzy. Very disappointed.

Drys hair fast compared to other hair dryers I've had

I had a Rusk W8less dryer for years that I loved but it finally died. I have very long, curly hair I like to blow out so I need a good dryer but won't spend a time since they don't last very long. This had good reviews but I just used it - it took twice as long to dry my hair, it's frizzy and the cold button is in a bad spot, I was constantly pushing it by accident losing the heat (hence the frizz). It's going back.

Where has this blow dryer been my whole life??? THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Ulta salon lady for directing me toward babyliss. My 5 year old infinity pro conair blow dryer was cracked and broken but still working, but I wasn't getting the fast straight frizz-less results I wanted. I used this one and cut down on 15 of blow drying time! Also I'm not sure why people think it's heavy, it's not at all for me. I have THICK mixed curly hair that I was worried if this would work on and it worked wonders! I get a salon blow out at home now thank you babyliss!

This dries you hair so fast the only con I have is it puts knots in your hair, doesn't happen on the lower setting. Just make sure you brush your hair the whole time you are drying it.

I don't normally leave reviews on anything but I had to for this one. I've been through 2 of these dryers in the last year/year and half. Both times they worked great for several months, then they started smelling like something electrical was burning inside. No, it's not the normal smell a dryer makes when it's hot. Definitely an electrical burn smell. The latest one I purchased less than 6 months ago, smells like something is burning as soon as I turn it on. The manufacturer needs to improve this issue! I loved the dryer other than that problem! Won't be purchasing again though.

I have really thick wavy hair that always takes forever to dry. I will still have damp spots after straightening with other sheds . This dyer cut my dry time in half without any damp spots

I love that its a 2000 watt. I have super thick short hair that usually takes forever to blow dry but this dryer works faster than any others I've had in the past. The only thing I don't love about it is the buttons-I wish they were toggle rather than sliding buttons.

I am hoping this lightweight professional hair dryer will dry my 13 yr old grand daughter's heavy head of hair.

So far, I have used this dryer twice and it was great! I am happy with the purchase. I would recommend this dryer to anyone looking for a great quality dryer that is not overpriced.

Basic dryer. Dries quickly. Nice texture- it has a matte feel not shiny plastic. Good price.

Although this dryer had a high speed I found it to not smooth my hair enough. Not sure if it didn't have enough heat or what. I found it to be heavy also so I returned it.

Love this hair dryer.

The Blow Dryer worked well on drying my hair so no complaints on that - my only negative draw back on it is it's heavy! So my arm tired while drying my hair - I guess I'll get a good arm workout. But what dissapointes me most is when I travel and have to pack it in my suitcase, it will add extra weight to my suitcase and I'm usually alwys cutting it close with packing my suitcase to full and going over the airlines weight limit :(
I would have prefered a lighter hair dryer

This hairdryer is horrible! Works for about a week or so then starts to smell burnt and feel like it's going to blow up!! My cosmetology school ordered them for us and mine isn't the only one that isn't working anymore! Definitely buying myself another brand!! DO NOT GET THIS
Bela from Murphy Texas
Love it, dried my long thick hair in less then 7 min

This is by far the best hair investment I've ever made. ! Bought one for my mother for mothers day and have been borrowing it since, can't wait to pick one up for myself! Very strong so make sure to comb through your hair as you dry or else it will cause a rats nest and a half. Gives you immense volume no need for salon visit blowouts anymore!
