Most Helpful Positive Review What a pleasant surprise! I have 3b/3c natural hair. I very rarely use heat...maybe straighten my hair once or twice a year. Had an even and wanted my hair to have a wavy look instead of my normal twist out. A fellow naturalista recommended this and the rest is history. I've been natural for 9 years and this is likely be best styling tool I've ever used for straightening/stretching.
Most Helpful Critical Review Letdown. I was so excited for this product as I have been in the market for something similar for a long while, but I'm really disappointed with it. My biggest complaint is that the brush is too soft; the bristles are too short. I have long hair, but it's thin/fine and I still had to use a regular paddle brush on the other side of the dryer during. The quality/material does not match up with the cost of this product.

I found this dryer on Instagram and it seemed like a really cool concept but I was very reluctant. I watched a video of a woman with hair like mine (shocking) getting her hair blow dried and I had to find this dryer. After only 10 minutes of drying my hair achieved a straight look! I have only used it once since I had it for a week but I am telling anyone who will listen to buy this dryer! It will change your life on wash day!

This dryer probably works well for others. However, my long, thick hair took nearly the same amount of time to dry than normal. And I did not see a significant difference in smoothness
Great Buy 5

I was able to use the low and cool setting to blow dry my thick natural 4c hair straight with no shedding or frizz. I used a leave-in conditioner and heat protectant, and my hair dried quickly with a natural shine. I was able to flat iron my hair with one pass through because the paddle dryer did most the work of straightening it.

Worth it ! 5

Try it ! For the price it's worth a try! My hair is thick & curly. This shortened my dry time in blowing out my hair! I am pretty good at sectioning my hair to blow it out & I use hair products that work for my hair. This dryer is a keeper & fits right in with my routine :)
great for straightening hair 4

I've had this for a couple of years now & it's great for when I wear my hair straight or if adding in big beachy curls once dry. I pull it straight up in sections and just pull it through and it dries fairly quickly and very smoothly. My hair is just past my shoulders and layered and it's perfect for this length or longer.
Disappointing 2

I was so excited about picking this up, I basically came home and took a shower to test it out. I opted for the cool and low settings because my hair is lightened and pretty fragile. Loaded my hair up with some Olaplex No. 6 and a little Ironguard from CHI, and got to work.
This thing took AGES to dry my hair on low and cool so I eventually just settled for the highest heat. I went over my hair more so than I thought would be necessary to get the sleek blowout look but the frizz was unmanageable.
I know everyone's hair is different but if you have anything like mine, best to keep your money and just invest in a blow dryer with a concentrator. The brush DOES work, but the claims of it making hair look sleek, straightened, and frizz free, I assume aren't really obtainable unless your hair has little to no texture or damage, otherwise you're in for a good hours worth of time trying to get those results.
The best! 5

I usually struggle to dry my daughters thick hair but with this it was a breeze!! She didn't fuss and I was done in a quarter of the time it usually takes! Easily the best dryer I own!
love it! 5
Maggie from Clovis, Ca
My hair is naturally thick, very wavy & tends to get frizzy.
I use the paddle dryer when I'm short on time after I've washed it but I'm looking to wear in a straighter style and I don't have time to use a flat iron.
The paddle dryer dries my hair pretty fast, it feels softer, with no frizz & my hair ends up with only a slight wave to it.
I have no complaints about it!
A must try.............. 5

I was a bit hesitant on buying this product but after viewing many YouTube videos, As some tools can be hit & miss on black hair. I decided to take a chance & I'm pleased that I did. I have thick, dense, waist length hair which I usually air dry then press (old fashioned pressing comb in the oven) my hair. What a difference this brush makes. I sprayed Aphogee green tea reconstructor heat protectant on semi dry hair. My hair has never gotten that straight w/o the pressing comb. No need for a flat iron. I did a few Bantu knots in my hair & had soooooo much body!

Absolutely loved drying my hair with this tool. It was quick and efficient. It wasn't heavy at all.
Love it for my Thick Coarse Hair 5
Jay from Springfield, MA
I have very thick coarse hair (a combination of 3a, 3b, and 3c) and I typically don't style it much because it's so much of a hassle but this dryer makes it so much easier!! I dry my hair and braid and style it in different ways and I think it's such a good investment. I have never been able to get a good blow dry with a standard dryer and brush so I'm happy this works as well as it does for me.
This is for 4c hair!!! Trust! 5
Stacy from GA
I kept seeing this on YouTube and decided to try it. I have 4c hair. I like to blow dry my hair before I do braid outs, so that my hair is easier to manage and I can avoid knots. This blow dryer gets your hair nice and smooth and your hair doesn't revert easily. Try it!
Works Well on Natural Hair 4
Allison from Atlanta
I have 4A/4B natural hair and this works so well! Definitely easier to use than normal blow dryers.
Gets REALLY hot 3
Foochie from NE
I have owned two of these. Both were great at the beginning but gradually got so hot i couldn't even hold them. I think they should last longer.
Absolutely love this! 5

Usually I have to dry my waist length, natural, thick 3c/4a hair with a regular blow dryer with attached comb or separate with a paddle brush. It's never comfortable. This is perfect. I'm literally just combing my hair dry. It's easy to use with one hand and perfect to travel with.
Not for small hands 2
VegasSHERRI2020 from Las Vegas, NV
Not great slender handle heats to hot high. Base to round large to my small adult hands. That's wear instructions says to grip. My hands get tired. Only upper inch blows hot air. So I hold it like a pick and combs downward. Noisy. I use on towel dried damp hair as recommended. Dried in about fifteen minutes. Straightens my hair, removes curls. Hair feels overdried.
Best Hair Dryer! 5

I was unsure if this product would work with my hair, as it's chin length and very curly but it worked and it was so easy to use! This will be my go to hair dryer now. It's not too hot and not damaging. The bristles detangle as they blow dry and doesn't rip through your hair like comb attachments. Great buy!

Love this dryer!! Was unsure at first but this dryer got my sister thick hair straight. Always hold by handle dryer gets extremely hot. Very convienent and easier than using a attachment dryer or comb and dryer at the same time. Must have for natural curly hair women.
Great on natural hair 5
Anna from New Orleans, La
I have natural hair 3c/4a texture and use the dryer brush on high heat. High heat works best for curly or coily hair. Low heat took a little bit more time and more passes over my hair. A great heat protectant with this dryer would be the ORS thermal heat protectant. The results were great and made flat iron easier with one pass.
Best Dryer I've Ever Used! 5
Bebe from Chicago, IL
I can have my hair detangled and dried in 15 mins, I love this dryer! It makes styling my hair easier and faster when I'm doing protective styles.
I super love this 5
Shar from NE
I don't know how I lived without it for so long. I'm not good at blow-drying my very thick, coarse, wavy hair, and this makes it a breeze and using the straightener after takes no time at all.
Just dont 3
didnthavestraighthairtoday from Seattle,Wa
I was super, super.excited about this. When it arrived I was shocked and how large and bulky it is! It is super uncomfortable to use. The control button is a dial button on the bottom. My hair looked poofy and helmety and I will stick to a traditional straightener.
Love this product 5
Jenn from North Jersey
Easy to use and effective. I bought it not really thinking it would work and I would have to use my straight iron. I just use my straight iron for a quick second after drying. Save me so much time.
Wish I would have bought sooner! 5
