I was originally looking for an affordable, non-makeup treatment for the dark circles under my eyes (due to lack of sleep). A salon employee recommended this product in combination with cold cucumber slices, to make my eyes less puffy. She also explained other uses, such as insect bite itch relief. The texture is fantastic, the product is all natural, and I'm in love.
This product was found to have high levels of Benzene (a carcinogen) by an independent pharmaceutical testing company. Johnson & Johnson recalled their sunscreens that tested positive for benzene but Sun Bum didn‚'t. Why is this still for sale? Has it been reformulated? What are you doing to protect your customers?
I tried this one, because I love the Sun Bum SPF50 roll on sunscreen so much. It's EASILY my new favorite. I've always loved the aloe type aftercare products. This one has it in it as the first ingredient, but the consistency is so much better than other aloe products I've tried. It's not sticky, I usually will put it on 2-3 times on my not-so-sun-friendly places that happened to get burnt. I wish it would let me add my picture of the day after being burnt. It goes down SIGNIFICANTLY! To the point where you wouldn't be able to tell that I was burnt. The way that the tea tree leaf oil soothes my skin, the natural cooling sensation of the aloe, on top of air drying in front of a fan, is AMAZING. It's my holy grail go to now.
I had a second degree burn on my nose (I have an auto immune disease and it causes severely dry skin). I sat outside for two hours without sunscreen- it didn't seem hot enough and I was in the shade *awful mistake*. Before I made a dermatologist appointment I was willing to try anything- this saved me a doctor appointment. Note that it does feel "tight" and "sticky". I applied 3 times a day and then before I went to sleep. I wish I could post the before and after photos here! The HOLY GRAIL of sunburn and peeling relief.
Seriously! I can't be outside for more than 5 minutes without breaking out into a heat rash and this always helps soothe my skin. I recommend putting it in the fridge, you welcome!
After a sunburn it is the best product! Works very fast and your skin immediately feels relief.
I got sunburnt to point of blisters and this felt nice on them and didn't feel too sticky like regular aloe.
