Kecia Steelman
President and Chief Executive Officer
Kecia was named Ulta Beauty’s President and Chief Executive Officer in January of 2025, after serving in a number of leadership roles since joining Ulta Beauty in July of 2014. In her role as CEO, Kecia is responsible for setting and driving the Company’s long-term strategic vision and protecting and enriching its culture to ensure Ulta Beauty furthers its mission to leverage the power of beauty to make a positive impact on its associates, guests, partners, and all stakeholders.
Prior to her current role, she served as President and Chief Operating Officer from September 2023 to January 2025, Chief Operating Officer from June 2021 to September 2023, and Chief Store Operations Officer from September 2015 to June 2021, after joining the Company as Senior Vice President, Store Operations in 2014. Before joining Ulta Beauty, Kecia served in a number of leadership positions across leading retailers, including Family Dollar Stores from 2009 to 2014, and Home Depot from 2005 to 2009. She began her career at Target Corporation and served in a variety of retail operations and merchandising roles with increasing responsibility from 1993 to 2005. Kecia currently serves on the board of directors for The Bay Club Company and the Adler Planetarium.
Paula Oyibo
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Paula was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Ulta Beauty effective April 2024, after serving in key leadership roles across the Finance organization since 2019. In her role, she oversees the company’s finance, accounting, tax, treasury, procurement, internal audit, investor relations, and real estate teams, including the optimization of our store fleet. Previously, Paula served as Senior Vice President, Finance since February of 2022 where she had oversight of the Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury and Non-Merchandise Procurement functions, after serving as Vice President of Finance for Merchandising, Marketing, and eCommerce since 2019. Prior to joining Ulta Beauty, Paula served in finance and controller roles at Whirlpool Corporation and in senior level auditing and consulting positions with PwC. Paula currently serves on the board of Girls Inc. of Chicago.
Monica Arnaudo
Chief Merchandising Officer
Monica was named Chief Merchandising Officer in December 2019, after having served as Senior Vice President of Merchandising since joining Ulta Beauty in October 2017. Prior to Ulta Beauty, Monica served in numerous sales, merchandising and business development roles in the beauty industry at retailers including Sephora and Nordstrom and brands including Chanel, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, Shu Uemura and Bare Escentuals. Monica currently serves on the board of directors for Cosmetic Executive Women.
Amiee Bayer-Thomas
Chief Store Operations Officer
Amiee was named Chief Store Operations Officer in March 2024. In this role, she oversees all aspects of Ulta Beauty’s store and services operations, including leading more than 1,400 store teams across the country, along with Ulta Beauty at Target. In addition, Amiee oversees the company’s loss prevention strategy and efforts. Previously, she served in multiple store leadership positions since joining Ulta Beauty in September 2016, including Chief Supply Chain Officer, Senior Vice President, Stores – West Division and Corporate Store Operations. Prior to joining Ulta Beauty, she was the President of Thomas Advisory Group LLC, a consulting firm within the retail and beauty industry. Prior to that, Amiee held positions of increasing responsibility with JCPenney from 2007-2015, including Divisional Vice President Store Operations and Vice President of JCPenney Salons. Amiee also held various positions at Limited Brands Inc. from 2002-2007. Amiee serves on the advisory board for Shoptalk and board of directors for YWCA Metropolitan Chicago.
Jodi Caro
General Counsel, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer
Jodi was named General Counsel, Chief Risk & Compliance Officer in August 2015. She also serves as Corporate Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer. Jodi oversees Ulta Beauty’s Legal, Risk & Governance Services team in delivering high quality legal, governance, compliance, risk management and property management services, as well as leading all Environmental, Social, and Governance efforts. Prior to joining Ulta Beauty, she was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Integrys Energy Group, in addition to holding the role of Integrys’ Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer. Prior to joining Integrys in 2008, Jodi owned and operated her own law practice, which provided general counsel and corporate services to clients ranging from established multi-million dollar companies to medium and small early-stage enterprises. Prior to opening her law practice in 2006, she was co-founder and General Counsel of Looking Glass Networks, a privately held, facilities-based telecommunications company and served as an in-house attorney with MCI/WORLDCOM. Jodi is also Vice-Chair of the Retail Litigation Center and serves on the Chicago-Kent College of Law Board of Advisors as well as the board of directors for Communities in Schools of Chicago.
Michelle Crossan-Matos
Chief Marketing Officer
Michelle was named Chief Marketing Officer in January 2023. She oversees key customer-facing workstreams across integrated marketing, ecommerce, creative, store design, member loyalty, public relations, consumer insight, and UB Media, the company’s retail media network. Before joining Ulta Beauty, Michelle served as Chief Marketing, Citizenship & Communications Officer at Samsung Electronics America. Prior to that, Michelle held various leadership roles with Samsung, Vertu and Procter & Gamble, where she gained extensive experience in beauty and personal care.
Erik Lopez
Chief Supply Chain Officer
Erik Lopez was named Chief Supply Chain Officer in March 2024. In this role, he oversees the company’s supply chain strategy and operations, including retail distribution, e-commerce fulfillment, supplier operations, transportation and logistics, as well as our supply chain transformation efforts. Since joining Ulta Beauty in 2013, Erik has held multiple leadership positions across the company’s supply chain organization, and most recently served as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Planning and Operations. Prior to joining Ulta Beauty, Erik held multiple Supply Chain roles with Target Corporation where he oversaw Distribution functions including Inbound Operations, Outbound Operations, Production Control, and Engineering & Facilities.
Mike Maresca
Chief Technology & Information Officer
Mike was named Chief Technology and Information Officer in June 2023. He leads the core elements of Ulta Beauty’s IT and Digital functions, including IT infrastructure, systems and security, digital experience and operations, and consumer technology. Most recently, Mike served as Global Chief Technology Officer for Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), where he led technology transformation, modernization, digital strategy, data & analytics, and IT innovation. Prior to that, Mike spent 25 years growing his career with Accenture, managing a large portfolio of digital programs and IT capabilities in support of the company’s go-to-market teams across the globe. Previously, Mike was a Managing Director in the Accenture technology practice, leading transformational work with multiple leading retail, CPG and healthcare companies. Mike currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Chicago Innovation and on Forbes Technology Council.
Anita Ryan
Chief Human Resources Officer
Anita was named Chief Human Resources Officer in April 2022, after having previously served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources since 2018 and Vice President of Human Resources since 2016. She is responsible for Ulta Beauty’s HR strategy and innovation, including oversight of the company’s people success business partner team and centers of excellence in talent acquisition; associate care and support; leadership and organization development; diversity, equity, and inclusion; compliance; internal communications and training for the enterprise. Prior to her more than 20-year career at Ulta Beauty, Anita began her career in the grocery industry where she held numerous operations leadership roles before transitioning to human resources. Anita currently serves on the board of directors of the Skills for Chicagoland’s Future and the Ulta Beauty Charitable Foundation.
