As soon as I applied it I could feel my hair soften. It smells so amazing, kind of like cupcakes in my opinion lol. I let it sit a minute or two longer than the directions said. And when I rinsed it out my hair felt like silk. I have really long thick hair, and it always frizzes or poofs even if I use my straightener. But when I blow dried it, it looked the smoothest I've ever seen it without a straightener and even better after I straightened it. The smell is great (if you like coconut) and it doesn't make my shower's tile floor too slippery. I use it as a hair mask sometimes, but mostly I use it as a conditioner in the shower because its one of the only products that I feel adequately moisturizes my hair. I love how much product you get in the tub, but I do wish the tube packaging would come back for convenience sake. Unscrewing the lid in the shower can be a hassle if your hands are already a bit slippery, and the bottle itself takes up a bit of shelf space since it's so short and stout. Overall, amazing product. So many women claimed this was a miracle and saved their hair. I am not doubting them. however, this worked strangely on me, let me say, that the smell is pretty decent, while I was using it in my shower, it smelled floral, but also had a hint of vanilla cupcake smell, I am susceptible to smells, so I was weary about the scent. the scent does last all day, within a couple of hours it started to give me that headache that I can get from certain scents, so if you are sensitive to scents like me, this may not be for you. The feel of the mask was really nice being applied, it was creamy and easy to distribute through my hair. after washing I combed through my hair, the comb was easy to slide through, and my hair felt silky and soft. However, this did not dry silky/smooth, nor did it enhance my waves. this left my wavy/textured hair looking fluffy in some areas, frizzy in other parts, and really soft underneath, if anything it made parts of my hair way too soft, it took away my natural waves and made my hair in the back very straight. I feel that this mask is not for someone like me with fine/thin wavy hair, I think this would be great for someone who has thicker hair and trying to fix damage from dyes or bleached hair. Plus its half the price of this & double the amount of this. It's technically a "regular" conditioner but I use it as if it was a deep conditioner.
