I've noticed little to no hair loss and my daughter says that the problem areas are really improving. It is not feasible for me to wash my hair daily; therefore I wash it every other day. I leave the lathered shampoo on my hair for an extra 10 minutes and then follow with the conditioner. I try to use a little heat with the conditioner for more intense penetration. Next I finish with the leave-in scalp therapy. Initially after use I found my hair a little dry and hard to the touch from the scalp therapy. I found a customer service number online and called to inquire about a product to help moisturize the hair and scalp while using the system. The stylist recommended the Deep Repair Hair Masque which is amazing! I will continue to see if I receive the full desired results.Most Helpful Critical Reviewmore hair sheddingI have thinning hair in the frontal region. My hair part isn't noticeably thinning, but it could be better. I attribute my hair loss to genetics. It started in my teens so i've tried several products and topical medications to ease reduce the rate of shedding, and possibly to regrow hair as well. Based on the reviews for Nioxin, I thought it sounded promising. I bought the shampoo and conditioner together. What I found was that in wash 1, my hair looked vibrant, although there was shedding in the tub. I did notice that the shampoo left a funny residue or something on my hand. Washes' 2 and 3: it felt as though my already fine hair was getting finer in texture AND drier (like crispy dry layers) even with the conditioner. Further more, there was much, MUCH more than average hair falling out in the tub and in my brush. Even when I have shedding at it's most, it never really got to this point. I'm not sure if the product was too strong for my fine hair, or if shedding is supposed to occur, but I couldn't chance it. With already thinning hair, it just seemed to make things much worse. Once I stopped using it, my shedding stopped, but my hair texture is still very dry, and the natural color (black) is washed out.
