I was browsing Ulta for some new hair care products and came across NYM line! I can honestly say that this stuff is amazing, especially for the price point. My hair is very coarse, curly and needs moisture; this product gave me definition and moisture. Definitely recommend this brand
I was super excited about the new line and really wanted to like the gel but after giving it a week, I am ready to throw in the towel. From the first time I used it, I noticed my hair was more dry and frizzy than with other gels I had been using. I also have type 2b-2c hair and noticed that I didn't have as much curl with this gel. With other products I have pretty good curl definition all the way to my roots and with this, most of my hair is straight with a few curls on the end. At first, I thought I didn't use enough gel since I went pretty light the first day since my hair gets greasy/build up easily. After 4 tries now, I am giving up on it. I have so much frizz with it that it's hard to see the waves/curls and looks like someone rubbed their hands all over my hair while dry. The frizz is decent until you SOTC then things go downhill fast!

I've been using this gel for years with my 2c/3a curls and it's honestly the best. I've occasionally tried higher end brands and I always come back to my curl talk gel!

New to the CG curly haircare method and have been doing a new routine and using CG hair products with no silicone or sulfates in it. Did my hair today and added this gel to the routine. 10 minutes after finishing my hair, I went to play basketball In 84 degree heat and 55% humidity. I thought all my hard work was about to be ruined! But the gel kept the curls great! I also got the same brand cream and Mousse so I'm excited to see how those products are for me individually, and using them all together! I'll add the other products I use and the routine in case other curly q's would like to give it a go Products: Reset Wash- V05 ocean refresh Cowash- As I AM classic coconut cowash Conditioner- CURLS blueberry bliss leave in conditioner Denman Brush Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Gel Technique: -Cowash scrub scalp while hair is upside down in shower. Scrubbed while rinsing out as well -Conditioner while head upside down, clip up wet hair to sit while finishing rest of shower. Took clip out after several minutes, brushed with Denman Brush and rinsed out product -lightly scrunch hair out of shower with cotton t-shirt -applied golfball sized about of Gel and lightly scrunched into hair while head was upside down, tilted to the left side, tilted to the right side, and back when head was straight -plopped up hair with t-shirt for 5-10 minutes -defused hair with low heat. head upside down, tilted left, tilted right, then straight up again. first hovered the defuser around hair and then gently brought up toward scalp and back out. -once Gel had hardened around hair and was dried, I lightly scrunched my hair to get the crunch out and give it more volume

Works great to leave a more textured defined curl. Leaves a slight crunch but nothing a little hair oil can't work out. A must for curly hair!

It isn't terrible, but it isn't good. It really dried out my hair, and after using it for a few months I had to give my hair a break because it was so dry. Only after a professional deep cleaning treatment does my hair feel better. It's hold was fine, definitely not amazing, but it works for like a day. I have shoulder length thick 2a/2b hair

Thia is the perfect gel for fine wavy hair. You only need a very small amount to put in the ends of your shampooed hair.

My hair has gone through heat damage and it used to be curly, but not coils. In an attempt to fix it this summer, I gave up the heat and bought this brand's products. They are amazing and even though I currently am getting waves and not curls, they look extremely defined.

After my last product by another brand was discontinued I was on the hunt for a new one. I'm so excited I found it!!! This gel works evenbetter than my last product which I didnt think was possible! I tried their mousse and the smell was awful, this gel has no smell. I'm so glad I gave it a chance. My beauty products run the gamut in terms of price and I'm so happy this one doesn't have to cost a fortune. I will stay loyal. Try it!

I have 2B-ish wavy hair which is very fine and easily weighed down. I have had trouble with gels being too heavy in the past, but this one is great! I scrunch about a quarter-sized amount into wet hair and it provides just enough definition without being too heavy. The smell is subtle but very nice. So happy to have a solid affordable gel option.

It's a bit sticky even when using a small amount , I saw no change in frizzy hair , & the hold wasn't long . But I can say it did not get flaky or make my hair look dull , it's good for when you are doing a quick updo but not for hair down long wear

I gave it a try. Two bottles later my hair didn't adapt. It goes on nicely but doesn't give hair curls. Just a stiff mess. Super drys out hair. Only ordered cause my regular is out of stock.

I love the way it made my curls more defined and frizz free which I always had a problem with. Though, it made my hair crunchy but I think fluffing it out with oil can help that

This gel smells good, kinda like a floral/sweet perfume. It's a nice consistency, not too thick/sticky, not too thin/watery… it's perfectly in the middle. I have fine curly hair and it gives me such a nice juicy cast. I layer it over Aussie curls mousse, they pair really well. My hair dries frizz free and feels so soft once the cast is scrunched. I'm kinda obsessed

I prefer the curl cream to the gel, but when mixed together they hold my curls/waves nicely and the crunch is easy to scrunch away with a little oil without messing up my waves.

i had actually tried this in the past and was so excited to receive it again in my first influenster box. i love that it doesn't leave my hair crunchy or weigh it down too much but it leaves it shiny and soft !! i've been a big fan of nym throughout my hair journey

My daughter and I both have curly hair and maintains my daughters frizzy hair has been a struggle since she's been back at school. Between recess, the heat, and humidity her hair is a mess when she gets home. This gel has really helped tame her hair and keep it from getting so frizzy- especially when combined with the mouse and the gel! The gel is also super easy to scrunch out with a little bit of hair oil!

I got this product when I was trying to enhance my natural curl/wave pattern. I wasn't a big fan of this product. Left a cast on my hair even after washing it out. I was expecting more out of the gel, even when physically creating a curl and drying in place I still didn't notice much hold from the gel. A little disappointed.
