I volunteer with animals, care for own animals, garden, clean, cook... Pretty rough on my hands. With this as a top coat, I can chip in a day. With Out the Door, I can last 5 days or more. But I use this as a base. However in my personal experience i find that my polish does not last too long, especially with certain polishes from different brands. It doesn't matter how dry my polish is before I put this on or how long I let it sit before I move on with my life, this stuff never ever seems to fully dry. I could paint my nails at noon and go to bed at 11pm and I'll wake up with imprints in my nails from my sheets. I thought I wasn't giving my polish enough time to dry (I usually use the Sally Hansen quick drying polishes) so I timed it and waited about 30 minutes between coats. I let the top coat sit for an hour, then dunked my hands in ice water and made sure I was super extra careful when preparing food that evening. After cooking, I looked at my nails and had a huge divot in the polish on my pinky nail. My other nails all have bunching at the top where the polish was pushed back from doing who knows what (literally just living life as normal). I forgot to put this on when I painted my nails last week with the same polish and had no issues until I did a deep clean of my house at the end of the week (using chemicals without gloves).
