I've followed Lime Crime's social media for a while. When I saw that Ulta was carrying Plushies I thought, "What better way to try something new than to earn points with the purchase?" I followed the recommendations to exfoliate my lips, apply a lip balm, apply the Plushies, then pat down. It looked amazing for about 2 minutes then immediately left my lips looking super parched. I knew going in that the result aims to be a powdery-stain finish. Y'all, no joke: I find this not only wears WAY MORE comfortably than the famous Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink liquid lipsticks, but also wears way longer towards the center of my lips, even with eating and drinking. Went to reapply after eating today and was so surprised to see there was no reapplication needed, since I'd always heard that the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink lipsticks were the longest-lasting! In terms of appearance/opacity, these have a similar look and feel to the Generation G lipsticks by Glossier, though obviously initially in a liquid form until it dries down. Plus, these come in lots more colors than Generation G, and I'm not sure if there are more colors available in this or the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink, but either way, I MUCH prefer the colors Lime Crime offers. When I first put it on, I was worried because the formula looked pretty streaky and watery, but it evens out as it dries, and becomes a GORGEOUS sheer matte. I have light/medium skin and the color Rosebud has to be the prettiest pink I've ever tried. you also get a significant amount of product, so I think it's worth the price. They're far more comfortable to wear than the traditional matte liquid lipstick or even the metallic liquid lipsticks. You can apply them with your finger tip for a popsicle stick tint, or line your lips with a lip pencil and then fill in with the plushie. They also last well under masks in my experience. My only complaint is that Lime Crime has taken away so many shades in this formula and they haven't added new ones. I would love to see new shades added, as well as their LE glow formula colors expanded. My favorite colors have been from the LE Plushie Glow trios offered around the holidays.Color is completely off1Grace from CAI ordered Milk Tea, a sheer mauve but instead I received a deep gray toned brown instead. So I wanted to try this. I do like it, I got the shade rosebud and it's beautiful and easy to wear everyday. It's not as long lasting as a velevetine but more long lasting than lipstick. It's kind of in between and soft. I'm definitely prefer the velvetines for pinks and nudes.
