I get complements on my hair all the time!Most Helpful Critical ReviewOne of the worstI typically love Kenra products so I bought a liter of both the shampoo and conditioner right away, I waited until they were gone before writing this. This is by far one of the worst toning shampoos I have ever used. The color of it, which is supposed to be violet, is a very light purple. Everyone knows that for most toning shampoos to work they need to be a dark violet. The shampoo is incredibly drying which with bleached hair is a huge downfall, the conditioner cannot make up for it. While they do absolutely nothing in terms of toning (both are so light purple they are essentially white) they're both great for everyday use. Definitely not toning in any way (I'll still use a purple shampoo weekly and have no idea why these are advertised as 'brightening') but they are neither stripping nor too heavy so I can use them as my daily shampoo and conditioner for my straight, thin, baby fine fine hair. While they don't remove brass, they have a slight lavender tinge so they won't cause discoloration of blonde hair either. The trick is to add this shampoo to your regular shampoo, mix it in your hand, and then apply to your hair. Your hair feels so soft. Then follow up with your hair mask. I never use this shampoo by itself..it's too drying. You should really use it in combination with your go to shampoo. I'm surprised to hear that others have had trouble with it. I have fine straight hair and use heat tools carefully. My hair is always healthy and happy and my colorist is impressed with how well it maintains my color. I'm not sure why but for some people, like me, this brand causes hair loss. I stopped using heat almost completely because of it. I switched shampoo and conditioner back to what I used previously to see if that would help and noticed my hair has started to improve greatly. I don't feel like this shampoo and conditioner helped with "brightening" either. Using a purple shampoo once weekly works way better for me.
