The lotion was nice for keeping the skin moisturized but felt heavy on my skin. The gel though is fantastic! My skin is soft, less oily, and the product absorbs fast! It's great at prepping the face for other products and/or make-up. It's also cost-effective because it lasts so long! A tiny amount is all you need! I've been using the same bottle for two months and still have plenty! Also the pump is wonderful! It keeps everything clean and convenient! I highly recommend anyone with oilier skin to give this a try! Great work Clinique!Most Helpful Critical ReviewA comedogenic productI usually don't write many reviews, but have for Clinique's 3-step system. I wish I would have known these facts before purchasing these items. I don't break out all that often, but was having a bout of constant breakouts and I couldn't find anything that worked. I switched my whole face cleansing routine to clinique products since they were allergen tested and supposed to be good for sensitive skin. I was doing everything I was supposed to, but yet still breaking out even more than before I started using Clinique. I discovered that this gel has three ingredients in it that are listed among the highest of comedogenic (acne aggrevating) ingredients. They are Laureth-4, Laureth-23, and Oleth-10. Laureth-4 is rated a 5 on the comedogenic scale, which is the highest you can go! I stopped using this product and began using a face wash and simple lotion that are both paraben free and non-comedogenic, That together only cost me $12, and in just one week my face is completely acne free. I've been trying some travel size moisturizers of some other brands and came across this one on the best sellers list. It's a good gel moisturizer. Soaks in well and doesn't leave your skin oily. Moisturizers well and adds to the glow when I use my Vitamin C in my morning routine. I have tried once a day and twice. I like it better with twice a day for sure. It mixes well with my Cerave AM moisturizer. I only use that on top of it sometimes for the sunscreen and need a little heavy barrier. Upon being able to return home, I found this Clinque Product in her makeup, almost a full tube. I tried it out. I have been using it every day after I shave. Very soothing. I am told that I do not look like I'm 81 years old. Sadly, yesterday was the burial of my 103 years and 10 month old mom. I plan on using this product as long as I'm here, hopefully, for at least another 23 years.
