I've used this stuff since a hairdresser put it on my 14 year-old self and my over bleached hair. Back then, I didn't even read the bottle I just knew I could straighten the life out of my hair then spritz this on and it would look semi healthy again. NOW my hair is MUCH healthier and I probably get a bottle of this once every year. All it does for me is adds a healthy looking layer of shine to the dull spots of my hair after styling. I do not feel like it seals, smooths, or protects my hair in any way. It's just a nice aerosol mist of beautiful smelling rejuvenation. I would not purchase if you are looking for anything more serious. But I LOVE the way it adds natural looking shine so I keep re-purchasingMost Helpful Critical ReviewYeah..not sure about this one.Okay so I was pretty excited to try this product considering that no matter what I use before I blow dry my hair, it always comes out like a frizzy mess. If I use a smoothing product, in a few hours it will usually flatten and calm down but I bought this spray to try as something I could use right after blow drying if I'm about to run out the door like I usually am. Well the smooth and seal spray was pretty terrible. It does reduce the frizz almost instantly, I'll give it that but in the process it made my hair so greasy that I felt like I hadn't showered in a week when I had just showered an hour ago. The smell of the product isn't all that fantastic either. I brushed and brushed to try and maybe comb it through my hair to get it out like I can usually do if I overdo it with the hairspray and even tried straightening it but this stuff wouldn't budge. I ended up going out like that and strangely enough a few hours into the night I noticed that the greasiness went away. I didn't spray too much when I applied so I'm not sure if maybe you just don't need that much of this product or what. Look, it does what it's advertising just fine--it's a lightweight oil mist that makes my hair look shiny. I highly doubt it is repairing split ends, but it does a *fine* job of masking any little flyaways and smoothing everything down. I have long sensitive ends with an oily scalp. This is an oily product, but it's such a fine mist my hair seems to have no issues absorbing everything quickly. Finer/super oily hair types may not love this. Efficacy aside, I knocked two stars off because I cannot get over the smell. This stuff gives me a massive headache. I don't mind unisex smells, but to me, this smells like MAC's Turquatic fragrance (which, I adore, by the way) but if it was pour homme. I am not un homme, and I do not want to smell like un homme. This is not just any homme, this to me smells like the sort of cologne/fragrance a sleazy cruise line dance instructor who gives ~private lessons~ on the side would choose to wear. I am not knocking anyone who enjoys the scent, but personally I absolutely hate it. Plus, it really does leave everything in the surrounding area slippery.
