I recently got into skin tints as I am getting older and the cakey look isn't my thing anymore. I like looking more natural with a healthy complexion. This was gifted to me by Hourglass Cosmetics. First of all, this tint doesn't have much pigment so you can't expect even medium coverage specially if like me, you have dark spots. It is very light and has little coverage. However, I love it for myself as an every day base. I am tired of putting heavy makeup on like I said. This gives me a very nice healthy glow with minimal coverage so I do add concealer and do the rest of my makeup like I normally would and the final result is really lovely. I look healthy and I'm.not embarrassed of people looking at my face so up close as much. It wears of nicely, too. I think peope who like a natural look would love it specially if you have normal to dry skin. It didn't hold up as long on my combination skin but I didn't expect it to. I thought I had picked a darker shade but I still went with it because I prefer a bit darker than lighter and to my surprise it matched very well to my skintone! It sort of adjusts to it because it doesn't have a strong pigment. You can use the 'Try it" option so you'll know how to find your shade for a good match.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot My Favorite for Thick, Wavy HairOne of my favorite foundation products of all time used to be the HOURGLASS Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint, which was discontinued, so I was thrilled at the opportunity to try the new Veil Hydrating Skin Tint! This is THE perfect "your skin but better" formula and I love how it just evens out my skin tone while still letting my skin show through. It provides hydration (without feeling heavy)and a dewy glow that gives my over -40 skin the perfect amount of radiance (without looking shimmery). It does layer well for a bit more coverage but this is built for natural makeup looks. I used this product fr the first time and I am OBSESSED! I have used many skin tints and foundation but this one is perfect! It's super hyrdrating. When you out it on it feels almost like a moisturizer but ince you blend it out it just feels like skin. It provides coverage to where it covers the imperfections but leaves your face lokking natural and radiant. The goow it keaves behind is like a glow from within. I used this with my hourglass concealer as well and had no trouble covering my hormone acne and hyperpigmentation, and it has such a natural radiant finish. The texture is buttery and soft. This is a sheer skin tint. You can see my freckles lightly and it helps with redness. It is buildable.
