I don't often have much luck with eyeliners, especially eyeliner pencils. I work in the dental field and have to wear a mask which tends to fog up my glasses and makes my eyeliner a complete mess halfway through the day. I had given up on winged liner for a while because I knew it wouldn't last. I was so excited to receive the COVERGIRL Perfect Point Ink It Eyeliner, but I also skeptical- how was this going to perform any better than the other waterproof eyeliners that I've tried with no success? This eyeliner claims to "glide like a gel" and "stay on like ink"and uses a clean formula. It is also meant to last 24 hours. I'm happy to report that this eyeliner lives up to most of its claims! This liner holds up to a full day of watery eyes and foggy glasses. My "wings" were still present at the end of the day and I only experienced slight smudging in the corners of my eye below the wings. I don't find that the liner glides on - it's not dry, but it's also not smooth like a gel. It was a little difficult to get a smooth line in one pass and due to the application, my liner appeared a bit faded. I can't report on whether or not the liner lasts 24 hours because I don't like to leave makeup on overnight, but based on how well it held up during the day, I think it stands a good chance at living up to that claim. Overall, this is a great eyeliner and I'm so glad I had the chance to try it out. I would definitely recommend it, especially to those who have watery eyes and struggle to avoid the "raccoon eye" look during the day!Most Helpful Critical ReviewCovergirl Perfect Point Ink It Eyeliner: Not my idI was very excited to receive the Covergirl Perfect Point Ink It Eyeliner in the mail. I received the black liner. I have tried this eyeliner on my upper lashes as well as my lower lashes but not at the same time. Let me begin my review with the lower lashes. The first time I used this liner I put it on my lower lash line. It was not too difficult to apply but it did not go on very smoothly. My eyes looked nicely defined. The second time I used it was on my upper lash line. This application was much more difficult. It did not go on smoothly at all. The line was much thicker than I would have liked. The liner seemed too dry and did not glide on. On this application I used the blending tool at the opposite end of the eyeliner to try to blend the out the liner. It did blend but it seemed to make the liner appear paler in the parts I blended (by paler I mean almost non existent, so I had to reapply). Also, when I tried to open the lid of the blender, the whole blender tool and the lid came off. This is definitely a design and safety issue that needs to be addressed. The eyeliner was fairly easy to take off when I used makeup remover wipes. It comes off and transfers to fingers when touched. Also, I noticed my eyes slightly itched when I used this product. I do have allergies and I have sensitive skin. I would not recommend it to people who have allergies or sensitive skin. Overall, I don't think this eyeliner lived up to what I thought it was going to be. I would give this eyeliner a 3 out of 5 stars. I was the biggest fan of the Cocoa Ink color in the Ink it Line. Prior to that I used perfect point plus, but never looked back once I found Cocoa Ink. It stays and provides great color. So why the low rating. Not having a matte color brown I now literally cannot find a replacement. I do NOT want shimmering color, I do not understand for the life of me why a highly sought after product color was discontinued or not brought into the revamped line. It really doesn't make strategic sense from a product planning perspective. I am so lost without my favorite product. I tried the shimmer brown color and nope not good at all. With that said, I really have to say that I am a big fan of this Perfect Point Ink It Eyeliner from Covergirl. It really has this great tip, this great point, that makes it so easy to put on the eyeliner. It makes it smoother to glide on and I really liked that. I also liked that my point did not break easily. I have tried other liners that do. Also, the fact that it is a gel liner makes it work great to work with and really last a long time like it says. 24-hr liner, oh yeah. Looking for a great liner that would really last a long time and is waterproof then I would recommend this wonderfull eyeliner for me from Covergirl. On top of that, they have these great colors to pick from. I got the privilege to try out the Bronze color. That for me it can be used in a more lighter tone or use it more intense. Either way, the color is beautiful and matches with most makeup and outfits as it is another tone of brown. If you enjoy using eyeliners then try out these Perfect Point Ink It Eyeliner from Covergirl.
