The mask is exactly what it says it is, a mask but it's for your scalp not your face. Just like you would leave a mask on your face for ten minutes you do the same with this mask but you leave it on your scalp. You apply about a quarter sized amount in your hand and then rub it into your scalp using your fingers. Massage the mask all over and leave it on your scalp for ten minutes before you shampoo and condition your hair. After leaving the mask on, rinse the mask out. Make sure to rinse your hair out for a few minutes before applying the shampoo.
