Today I am reviewing an exciting new formulation of the Dior Forever cream concealer. Housed within a gorgeous 15% recycled glass bottle, this concealer is a beautiful compliment to your Dior Forever foundation for a perfect match. This is the first time I am testing a concealer that actually comes with an applicator built into the cap. There is a bristled applicator brush that allows you to apply the product in one gentle sweep over your desired area. For my particular needs, I am using this product to conceal dark circles, and to awaken my eye contour. The texture is that of a smooth, whipped mineral-coated pigment cream that spreads like a powder soft cloud over the skin. On my skin, this concealer took on a lovely and natural matte finish. I love how this formula holds a dual-purpose, serving to also hydrate and condition the skin with an infusion of floral skincare. You can really smell the floral aspect upon blending this product into your skin, and it does leave a delicate olfactory trail that is quite nice. Featured extracts include Iris for hydration, Wild Pansy for comfort, Nasturtium for vitality, and Yarrow to enhance the brightening, smoothing coverage of dark circles. I love that this concealer is so easy to apply, and the ergonomic shape of the applicator brush makes applying precise coverage to the eye contour a breeze. While I was impressed by the full coverage, as well as the powdery, mineralized matte finish with a delicate floral scent, I can't really speak too much on the hydrating properties of this product. I did not find the texture particularly hydrating, but rather soft and smoothing. I would not feel comfortable using this formula on bare skin without first prepping with my usual toner, serum, and hydrating cream for optimal results. It is evident that Dior puts a lot of pride in the natural origin and floral skincare science behind their ingredients. The integrity of their products and visual performance of their ingredients really shine through for, in this case, an immediate payoff.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot what I expected..I was super excited to receive this and once I did I tried it out the next day right away! I was going to party with coworkers so I really was hoping it didn't disappoint. When I used it I was excited because it matched my skin color (it's a color corrector concealer so it's a little orangish). But I was soon disappointed when I found out the concealer was thin and not so full coverage when the box said it was. It didn't last me the night and kinda let me down.
