I can fluff up the root without breaking up the curls or causing frizz, maintaining shine. This is day two hair pictured and I just had to wet a few curls in the front this morning. The curl shape retained very nicely over night. For styling I used Kinky Curly Curling Custard, then John Frieda mousse then this Mielle mousse, and this mousse added a lot of shine. When 100% dry my hair was not crunchy; it's not humid so I will have to test on a humid day. For my next wash I'll try the KCCC plus just this mousse and see how much hold I get. Curly girls are out here like chemists figuring out what works - I recommend adding this product to your arsenal! Also why is hair type either straight, wavy or very curly? I was so excited about this new product that I ordered 3 bottles of this mousse. This mousse does not dispense as a foam. It comes out as a thick liquid with suds in it. I am wasting a lot of the product because it just runs down the side of the bottle onto the counter. It does smell good, make my hair soft and adds shine, but I'm disappointed in the texture of the product and do not feel like my hair is getting the full effect due to this not really being a mousse.
