I had my eye on this primer for a while before trying it out. I'm a long-time fan of Youthforia. Their BYO blush and lip gloss are my staple on my no makeup makeup days. With the packaging, I love that none will go to waste because the pump is on the bottom of the tube and as it sits on your counter gravity will help you use every bit of it up. There is an initial smell due to the plant-based elastomers, but it dissipates after a minute. As a brown girl, I love that the primer has a tint to it. It doesn't give me a white cast, and the formula feels like a moisturizer. I feel it sink in and leave my skin so hydrated. I have an oily skin type, and I wear matte foundations. Hydrating my skin beforehand is so important to prevent my makeup from looking cakey, but I don't like it when my primer leaves me feeling like a greaseball. This doesn't do that. It's so smooth and leaves me feeling confident my makeup will stay and my skin feel protected. I find that no matter the coverage of my makeup, from none to full, this has my back. I put on a full face of makeup before running errands for my sister's college graduation ceremony/party. It stayed on until the next morning because as soon as I could take a break, I passed out from exhaustion and fell asleep. And when I woke up in the morning my mascara and lipstick had seen better days but my foundation was still there mostly. My blush was even still visible! And after removal, my skin didn't feel dry or irritated. And several days later, I had one or two breakouts, but that's a good thing considering my acne-prone skin. The way this primer protects my skin will be a staple in my everyday makeup routine. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
I'm 34 years old with textured/heavily scarred/pigmented, combination oily/dry skin and am just starting to get into primers. Was excited to use this product for everyday protection but the amount (1 fl. oz.) is just so small that I feel like it's too expensive to use every day. After shipping and taxes it was just over $46. So I use one pump, and it doesn't spread as easily as I would like, I feel like I really have to stretch this product to cover the whole face. I also dislike the smell - to me it smells like a musty gym bag. My skin is very oily so after applying Korean sunscreen with Youth Foria primer on top, my face feels so sticky and the scars and texture really pop out unless I mattify my face with makeup and setting powder. Probably a great product if you already have relatively smooth skin, but I'm waiting to see if this will work out for me in the long run since I really want to incorporate primers into my routine.

I really wanted to try this primer that everyone raves about and i was scared to try it mainly because i have super sensitive acne prone skin but i still decided to try it. I used it for 2 whole days as a primer and i broke out like crazy. I had cystic acne bumps from using this product so i returned it. I really wanted to like it but my skin disagreed.

I didnt know what to expect from this. Honestly, I bought it on a whim and woww I am so glad I did! It is like the ultimate moisturizer Ive always searched for. My skin is prone to dehydrating even though it's technically oily, so its hard to find products that work just right for my skin without being either too heavy or too light. This one is literally perfect and after using it just one week my skin looks visibly brighter and more even, naturally. Im obsessed. For reference, I've been using sunscreen underneath (Supergoop Glow Screen), then this primer, a little bit of concealer (Kaja Dont Settle), setting powder (JSC), and then the Youth Foria color changing blush, which is also a new love for me. Ive never loved my skin more, I literally dont even have words. This product is perfect for me. Try it!!!

From my personal experience this is the best primer for rosacea and sensitive skin. Not only my skin doesn't react to it, it also has some ingredients that soothe and calm and help with redness. The makeup layers very well on top and lasts all day.

I love this youthforia's daily protective primer, but won't purchase again. The package looks like you are getting a lot of product, but its only one ounce. It doesnt last long.

I like supporting asian owned companies and I was really hoping this would work, but it just didn't live up to the hype. After only 4 hrs on a typical NY summer night, I could already see the make-up start separating or slipping off my skin. I looked way too dewy, not in a good way. Definitely not for me.

The blush is fine. The primer is too dark. I don't remember why I wanted to get that one. I think it seemed like it was a universal color to use. I can still use it if I have fake tan.

Love the primer. Perfect for my sensitive skin

… but I can't justify the price to continue using it. There are otjer primers out there that work just as well, but are cheaper. Plus, I already feel like I'm almost out of it even though I bought it almost a month ago. Really love the formula, but I can't justify the price. If it went on sale, then definitely.

Day one of heavy pollen falling from the trees - it looked like snow! - I took my kids outside and within hours I had huge, swollen, itchy hives all over my neck. That day I saw the video of the demonstration of the pregame primer protecting against the latex tape allergy and I bought it right away. I had nothing to lose bc it was either going to be weeks of hives or staying indoors. By the time it showed up, those hives had 95% cleared up, but the pollen was still in full force. I patch tested overnight, and it was perfect. The next day I applied skincare, spf, and the pregame primer on top (no makeup) and was outside all day in very high pollen. I got some hives on my forearms but not a single hive on my face, neck, or ears (yup! I applied it on my ears too) anyway just WOW!!! what a hero product. I also used it during that whole Orange Sky pollution fiasco the tri-state area recently experienced and my face and neck was completely non irritated. Thank you so much. This is a must!!

Love this primer, but I don't don't use it as directed. I mix in like a 1/3 of a pump into a higher coverage concealer on my finger and blend directly on my face. I found I was using wayyyyyy less product with better results with making my makeup super smooth. Keeps my skin looking hydrated and my makeup don't crust or crease. Would be 4 stars but it's expensive with not a lot of product but has been a game changer for makeup application

I have never worn foundation, but at age 50 I'm starting to feel like I want to wear something* besides just a pressed powder. My skin concerns are - aging skin, very dry, hyperpigmentation. I saw the pregame primer and wanted to give it a try. It does have a slightly weird smell but it dissipates quickly. I was also worried that it would look too shiny, but it went on very smoothly and just barely fills light wrinkles and lessens the darkness of my big ole eye bags - looking very natural like I'm not wearing any makeup but better. I also liked that I didn't look overly shiny. I just used one pump. Maybe tomorrow I'll try two :)

Glitter is just an unnecessary ingredient in something that has otherwise great skincare ingredients. As someone who has hypersensitive skin, the mica glitter is a no. The smell is funky, but I would still use it if it weren't for the glitter.

This primer is nothing like a primer whatsoever. It should be labeled as a face lotion, and a lackluster one, at that. There were no benefits to my skin as promised, and I went through the entire tube before leaving my review. Speaking of the tube, the amount you get for the price is insane. Way overpriced for the product you get. Horrible. Would not recommend.

I've been using this primer everyday for months now. I needed a primer that was super hydrating, wouldn't pill, and wouldn't break me out, and this was exactly what i got! I don't mind the smell, i don't notice it much at this point really. I also thought it would run out super quick, but one bottle has lasted me over 6 months. Super impressed!

I really wanted this product to work for me. I even bought 2 containers after the first use because I really liked how it felt on my skin. But when I started to layer makeup over it, it was patchy, it flaked, it pilled. And that was all during makeup application. I did some research and ensured all my products were water based to fit the water base of this formula, (all my previous products were silicone based) and practically bought a whole new set of makeup trying to make it work. I exfoliate regularly as well as it recommends on their website. And still it looks awful under makeup and it's getting hard to make it through to the second bottle. Still recommend giving it a shot if you haven't already since it's such a unique product but looking for advice from anyone with the same makeup struggles

I really like the formula and everything about this product. However, the amount of product for the price didn't feel justified. I truly thought that maybe the one I received had been previously used because of how little product there is.

I've never worn primer before and this one was nice! I like how it felt on my skin. It did have a light scent but it did dissipate after a bit.

I do like it. It does a great job at hydrating dry skin, but I feel like it may emphasize texture and it causes peeling. I'm going to try a few different techniques to see if it's just the way I'm applying it (i.e, warming it up on my hands and pressing it onto my skin). I may also try to mix it with a different primer. I also agree with reviews about the smell. It's awful.
