Because it's so resistant, I leave the product on for 60 minutes to get complete coverage. It lasts about 2 weeks, which is what the product says it will do. I'm very happy with the product. But when the Root Touch Up Kit was available, I was so excited to try it and compare. I got a shade darker (in Spoleto 4N) than was recommended based on my profile. I mixed as directed and then applied the Root Touch Up Kit product. It was all very easy (Root Reboot is also a very easy mix and apply process). Instead of my usual 60 minutes, I only left the Root Touch Up Kit product on my hair about 15-20 minutes total. I got complete grey coverage in less than half the time, which is wonderful! I love the new Root Touch Up Kit product, and I loved that I decided to get the Spoleto 4N instead of the Calabria 5N (just my personal preference). I would like a tad more product for each of the two applications as it was just barely enough. I will just be extra careful when I apply in the future. Overall, I am extremely happy with the new product; so happy I will be changing my subscription from Root Reboot to the Root Touch Up Kit. It's an excellent new product in my opinion. My hair looked great, felt great, and it's going on week 2 and grey coverage is still looking good.Most Helpful Critical ReviewHad Such High HopesI had such high hopes when I found this product. I had been on the hunt since my long time favorite 10 minute color has been discontinued. I actually color my own hair at home using salon color so 10 minute color is the only time I use store bought. My gray comes in about a week and a half after I color so I have always used a 10 minute around the 2 week point just to cover the most visible gray in the very front and on my temples to buy myself another 2 weeks. This product comes with everything you need if you are new to coloring your own hair at home (not something I needed but still great). The instructions are very easy to follow and I liked the fact that there was no strong scent (I am very sensitive to scents). I easily applied to the very front of my hairline and my temples and waited 10 minutes. I was a little nervous that the color would be too dark since once mixed it was MUCH darker then what I am used to but made my choice of color based on what was closest to what I normally use. Upon washing my hair, I had more shedding then normal and I quickly noticed that while I got semi decent coverage on my temples, my front hairline looked as though I had not applied any color. Fast forward 2 days and my scalp became overly sensitive and itchy and upon washing again on the 3rd day it was like I had applied no color at all. Sadly, this is not for me. Not only did I not get the coverage I hoped for, my scalp clearly does not like this (I am still shedding higher and slightly itchy). I will continue to hunt for a more suitable replacement to the previous product that I loved. My recent purchase of the root touch of kit was missing one of the color activators (there should be 2 in the box for 2 applications but there was only 1 which means I got half of what I paid for) - after calling them, texting them and emailing them over the course of a week, I have no response. It's impossible to speak to anyone because their automated robot on the phone won't connect you with a human. My request is so simple but yet I've spent hours just trying to get someone to respond.
