I have tried so many products from so many brands, ranging from pencils, powders, wax markers, gels, etc. Many products end up not looking natural, even when using very lightly. I have found that Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow+ Pencil looks great and doesn't irritate. I am a contact wearer with sensitive skin, so I am hesitant of brow products with fibers because they tend to flake, transfer, and upset my skin, but I have not had any issues with the Gimme Brow+ Pencil. I received a shade that matches my brows perfectly. I was happy to learn they have twelve shades in total because that is half the battle with brow products - finding the right shade! The pencil glides so well. It is applied like any other pencil and feels a bit creamy or light because of the powder formulation. I don't notice the fibers when applying, the pencil seems completely solid, it is only when I see the fullness in my brows that I can tell that there are fibers in the formula. I have not noticed any transfer or smudging. It is long lasting and seems to be decently waterproof. I have worn it during the summer heat, when most of my makeup wants to melt off. There is a spoolie included on the opposite end of the pencil which is helpful. The product is very buildable and using the spoolie at the end really helps the volumized look. The downside to this pencil is it does not have a built-in sharpener and is not non-sharpening. You have to buy a sharpener separately to use this product continually. For the price, I wish the product did not need a separate sharpener. Aside from the lack of sharper, this is a great brow powder pencil for anyone looking for better matching shades and natural looking fullness.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot my favorite Benefit brow product.First off, I'm a "Benefit junkie". I've been purchasing products from Benefit for many years. I overplucked my brows as a teen and they've never grown back (thanks late 90s and early 00s trends). I've used most of their products at some point. My first impression: The box is longer than usual. It is designed using the typical Benefit colors. The actual brow pencil is longer than other ones that I own and it's also silver. They've updated the packaging, so it looks a bit more modern. The pencil has a bit of a kohl pencil smell, but it's not overpowering. The good: It's Benefit and they offer the best in brow products. They offer a wide variety of color options. I use the spoolie often, even if I'm not doing my brows and this one is a nice quality. It's easy to apply and it's easy to remove. The not so great: Despite selecting the same color that I always choose, it was too dark. It didn't look natural at all. This product advertised that it contained fibers, which would add volume. I didn't notice any. It also said that it's transfer proof and longwear (12 hours). I was so bothered by the unnatural look of my brows that I decided to remove it in my car. It rubbed off with my finger. I didn't have makeup remover or anything. To get rid of the remaining tint, I used a napkin and all traces of it were removed. This product isn't for me, though I'll give it another try. Benefit sells an inexpensive sharpener that easily sharpens this thick pencil - buy it! That said, this product deserves high praise. I also use the Precisely benefit pencil and was so sick of having to replace that one almost every 3 weeks - was starting to look for other options. This is the answer! I still use the precisely pencil for the first small portion of brows where I want small defined strokes, but then I fill in the rest with this volumizing pencil. I have dark, sparse brows and have been using this daily since this product launched, for about a year now. Aside from the fact that I am still on my first pencil, it takes me about 2 minutes to do my brows and they come out looking perfect every time. The shade range is amazing and they stay on ALL DAY. No smudging or losing a tail midway through but it also blends so well. When you receive the product it obviously comes sharpened to a point which is great. but once it dulls down its useless because it cannot be sharpened. What's the poing of the plastic? So you have to keep sharpening and that leads to crumbling and a jagged finish. According to another review the pencil only works correctly with the Benefit pencil sharpener.
