I'm sincerely thankful too @bzzagent for sending this #freesample in exchange for my honest opinion. I received @clinique Smart Clinical Repair Wrinkle Correcting Cream and incorporated into my current skincare regimen for a full 7 days. Please continue reading about my results & findings as I share #nixtwocents - This cream is described as a light weight wrinkle-fighting cream that helps strengthen and nourish for smoother, younger-looking skin. It's recommended for all skin types and twice daily use once in AM & PM - Package claims include dermatologist tested, allergy tested, and 100% fragrance free. The following are a few of the key ingredients & the results Clinique claimes this cream produces.
CL1870 Peptide Complex is an expert peptide blend engineered to fight the look of wrinkles by boosting natural collagen, which helps strengthen skin's natural support structure.
Hyaluronic acid in two molecular weights is an intense humectant that helps flood your skin with hydration and holds on; it helps restore suppleness and visibly smooth fine, dry lines.
Soybean seed extract is rich in lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), which nourishes to help fortify skin. The very first time I applied this cream to my face I immediately noticed an obvious chemical odor that dissipated as the cream absorbed. It made me leary about the 100% fragrance free claim. I used approximately a dime size amount & was able to cover my entire face / neck area. I do think this cream is more on the heavier side when It comes to absorption as it took a full 5 minutes to absorb. Eventhough it left my skin feeling nourished & hydrated it also left me with a greasy, shiny residue because it never did fully absorb. It was this reason I decided this cream is better suited as a once daily use part of my PM regimen. After a full week of use, overall I'm pleased with my results. My face felt moisturized, replenished, and my skin appears to look smoother. I havn't noticed any diminished fine lines or wrinkles. I believe those results would require more time & usage. I have always enjoyed Clinique products and I honestly think this Clinique Smart Clinical Repair Wrinkle Correcting Cream should be considered a night Cream. I recommend you conduct your own trial run and see if you get the same results I did. I wouldn't count this one out but I also can't say it won me over. #bzzagent #freesample #nixtwocents #cliniquesmartclinicalrepair
I received a sample to try, which I greatly appreciate. Perhaps this is just not for me. I am mixed race, so I get to try *ALL THE THINGS*...often for decades...before someone starts coming up with products that seem to work for our unique skin and hair. (or perhaps, a more precise way to see it is... *our hair and skin*, but long overlooked as worth focusing on to major cosmetic companies, so *TaDaaa* we now end up being the hard to find products for version of *unique* when it comes to suitable products (I mean, unique is as it does...but that's an individual thing). After all that, add on that I'm in a "big changes" phase. And my skin has decided that it's going to start the adult ageing process as of the last 3 years...sort of making up for people always saying I looked "...25...maybe 27?" until I turned 41. So take that into account.
As to feel, it took a while before it absorbed. Then it did almost instantly. It isn't specifically a moisturizer, and to my embarrassment I never looked up the product information (ingredients, individual ingredient properties vs. combined product claims and goals), but a wrinkle focused product with no moisture mention on label makes me think it is mainly a wrinkle filler (again, could be wrong). But this doesn't feel like it moisturises my skin. Even though it absorbed enough to not be just wiped off of my skin, it felt like it was sitting right on top (which, perhaps, is normal in a filler product). I continued to use this product, both on my face and specifically on my left back of the hand (I am curious, I haven't used wrinkle products much yet, and I wanted to see if I noticed any changes), so I could easily check it out through the day. I really haven't noticed much difference over the course of the sample's contents. Not on my hand or face, at this point in my life/skin ageing.

I tried both the daytime with an spf and the nighttime. I found the daytime very thick and difficult to use. Both of them irritated my skin so I ended up returning them. I'm afraid that Clinique has lost me as a customer at least for moisturizer.

Not impressed by another NEW treatment for wrinkles. This cream sits on top of the skin and does not seem to sink into my face like others. After using it... it feels dry. Same for the eye cream. Why not give less freebies and upgrade Clinique's products and reduce prices. Not impressed by this and I have been using Clinique for decades.

Got this one as a sample and started using it right away. Texture is thick but not greasy, which I love in a night cream. The next morning your skin still feels hydrated and smooth. This is definitely a keeper for me. I highly recommend it!

It results in a more youthful appearance by increasing skin texture and decreasing wrinkles.

Right now, this is my go-to Clinique moisturizer. It is especially effective during the severe winter months for dry, sensitive skin. Extremely moisturizing without being oily.

I am so glad I read these reviews because after changing to this product from Repairwear, I too have noticed the white bumps. It is only now that I can relate them to this product. I will no longer be using it. I may have to go to any company for my skin care which is very, very disappointing to me.

I'm so disappointed as Clinique discontinued the Smart Night and Day that I used for years and had no trouble. I have this serum which caused under skin breakouts along with roseacea flare ups. On a Clinique chat, the rep said that wouldn't happen with this but after three days, my skin was a mess. For the price, I hope I can exchange as it was a requested Christmas gift as it was recommended my Clinique when knowing my skin issues. Again, so disappointed!

I dont look hydrated in the morning and if i get it close to the outside of my eyes, it will make my eye area irritated and dry. It caused my skin at the outside tempke area of my eye, crack and become painful and sensitive.

I actually came across the reviews for this product unintentionally. I originally came here to reorder this product; however, I am glad I read the reviews first. I clearly like this product enough to reorder it, but I can confirm as well that this product has caused my face to break out worse than it ever has in my life at 38 years of age. I have been trying for months to figure out what has been irritating my skin. After reading the reviews and doing the math, the breakouts started after I started using the product.

I will be buying this again!

This is so thick and creamy, yet soaks in and your face feels smooth and hydrated! No greasy feel at all! Love this product!

Have been using Clinique since my 20s - now in my 50s - sensitive skin with no issues. Used the Smart Night and Smart Day for years and loved them. For some reason they are discontinued and consultant recommended this - horrible experience with red bumps and white pimples all over my face. Bring back the old Smart Day with sunscreen and Smart Night. Now I need to find another brand for my sensitive skin.

It reduces wrinkles and increases skin texture, creating a more youthful appearance.

It's amazing i love the texture and its the only cream that doesnt make me breakout. I can't believe this has such bad reviews its amazing for me.

Why does Clinique use the cheap ingredient Dimethicone? It is a silicone that zaps the natural oil from your face and dies not allow your skin to properly soak it in. It just causes acne. Silicones are a cheap synthetic that Prestige companies use instead of glycerin or petrolatum. Probably to cut corners. Clinique has gotten really bad over the years. Especially for middle aged skin.

Sensitive Skin Beware,
I have extremely sensitive and dry skin.
I have been using Clinique since my late teens. I am now 41. I have tried all types of skincare products and nothing works like Clinique. However, this particular Wrinkle repair cream was horrible. I used it at night before bed and woke up with the worst reaction. Red blotchy skin with bumps all over that were irritating. I have never had this type of reaction with Clinique products before. This was the first time. Just frustrating that I don't know what caused it. I called CS and sent it back.

I used the old Smart Night cream for years, it was perfect for my skin and I received many
Complaints. This is too harsh for my skin.
I wish you would reconsider and bring the old Smart Night back.

I tried a sample size of this cream. My skin is now breaking out like it hasn't in decades. I have a red spot on my face today. Something is very irritating in this cream. I trusted Clinique for oil free products for years. I don't think it's truly oil free. Please bring back Smart NightCream. That one was wonderful. I really don't know what to use now.

I have used the smart night repair cream for years. Best night cream I could use for my dry and sensitive skin. In combination with the redness solution for daytime. This new cream is not the same and is not working with my skin. Now I have to give up Clinique. Another favorite product of mine that you have discontinued. Now I will start to look for another brand for may day and night routine. Good bye Clinique.

Prior to purchasing I discussed this product with a Clinique Rep who recommended it because the Laser Focus serum was no longer available. The Clinique Smart Clinical Repair burns my skin and eyes. It does not feel like it is fragrance free. It is very thick and is NOTHING like the Laser Focus which was a great product. I waited to review this product hoping that I would feel differently, however I can only say I would NEVER purchase this again and I would like to see Laser Focus return. I suggest if you are thinking of purchasing this product, get a sample first.

If you are looking for help with drier skin this is the one for you! I never had problems with dry skin until hit post menopause at age 47.. Boy that really changed things for me. This cream has made a world of difference. I am 51 and I've had people guess my age at 40. I never have dry patches or itchy skin since I started using this. It is truly the best I've found. I've paid a lot of money for all the top brands from the dermatologist office and this is way better and it works so well with the rest of the Clinique Clinical repair line. I use them all and will continue as long as Clinique doesn't change the formulas.

I have tried many creams, including ones by other manufacturers that are reviewed very highly, and have generally seen lackluster results. THIS ONE ACTUALLY WORKS as claimed and I saw an immediate result after applying the product to my skin and neck. I tried the smallest size and have reordered more! Thank you, Clinique.

I really like the feel of this. Not heavy feeling

This is not a review of the product's effectiveness. It's a review of why they discontinued Smart Night Custom Repair Moisturizer and this is the replacement. This product costs 50% more than Smart Night which was effective for me. And they don't have a comparable product at a comparable cost. Price gouging. I refuse to buy this product based on that alone.
