I use retinol and sunblock religiously and have a strong skin care routine. My big issues are makeup settling and creasing in fine wrinkles and undereye discoloring. I've struggled to find creamy makeup colors that set well and make me look glowy fresh and are easy to work with. I am not a fan of powder at this era of my life. I love this palette because it allowed me to learn how to contour for my face and skin without looking scary in public. I've also used it beyond contouring—also as a light concealer/foundation as needed. I'ved use every one of the colors in the palette not just as a contour, but also dabbing on the lips to make pinks richer or more nude, smudging on the eyes for a sultry day time smokey look or using the lighter ones to clean up eyeliner mistakes. It has gotten me theough hangovers when my skin looks sick and ugly and it makes you look glowy & bright with a light hand and good blending. On my best days, it makes me look like one of the IG influencers with a filter but in real life. It has worked with every luxury makeup brand and drugstore and even Amazon Kim Kylie rip off makeup I've used. I was very excited to get this because of the reviews and that it was a more economical option than another highly rated pallet. It has nice packaging with a quality mirror insert that did make applying slightly easier. However, I attempted to use this every way I knew how to. With primer, without. With moisturizing, without. With the best setting spray I've found, and without. It had absolutely zero staying power. At a little goes a long way and it blends absolutely beautifully! I loved that, it was just so saddening that it would never stay. I pinky promise I tried everything I could do to love this simply because of how incredibly it applied and blended. But it had no staying power. It seemed like it just melted off my skin. Unfortunately I'll be returning. However, since this was my first creme palette of this type, I decided to try it, especially with it being half off. First off, the packaging is beautiful and high quality, with an awesome mirror. It seriously takes almost no product to see results, so this will definitely go a long way, even at the full price. It blends beautifully and looks fantastic. I did notice towards the end my cheek area had a bit of a sheen to it. That is where I put most of the product. For me it wasn't an issue, because it looked like a subtle highlighter that actually worked for transitioning from day to evening. There are a couple colors that are too dark for my skin tone, but I used those as sort of an eyeshadow, and that worked out great. I really like the feel and blend ability of this kit. The two lighter browns both provide a soft touch of color that's great for a no/low makeup makeup look. The do seem to get a little muddy easily a little does go a long way, but your not going to get a bold contour it getting muddy. I understand that a pallate like this needs to have a little bit of something for everyone, but the dark seems like it will be to much on fairer skin, so for the price point you may not be able to use up all of the product. I also like the highlighting and concealing ability of the lighter colors.
