Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Treatment contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which makes me a bit skeptical of it being safe for color treated hair; I'm worried that my color will fade if I spend much time in direct sunlight after using this treatment. After all, AHAs make your skin more photosensitive, and this is stated in the directions for use on the product. I've just used it for the first time, so I can't say one way or the other.
I did notice that the treatment delivered some very pleasant results. After only one use, my hair is softer, more manageable, and there is less frizz.
That said, I don't know if I will use this product on a regular basis because it requires extra steps. Before I read the instructions, I assumed this was an intensive conditioner to be applied after shampooing. Instead, Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Treatment requires that you first dampen your hair, then apply the product and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes, then you shampoo, and finally condition. Personally, I'd rather apply a product after shampooing, even if I have to leave it on for a few minutes. One other con for me is the name. Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Treatment is quite a mouthful. I suggest shortening it or making it a point to use an acronym - RABCIT is easier to say.
I appreciate getting to try the product for free, and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind spending a little extra time pampering themselves, but I like to keep my hair and beauty routine as simple as possible. I'm happy with the results, but I don't honestly see myself wanting to add extra steps or extra time to my haircare routine.
I received this product in exchange for my review. I did not like this product since it did not work as it claimed it would. My hair is very dry and very damaged. The product does not say how much to use, do you do a dime size amount? Do you paint it on like hair dye (which got me into the hair mess I have)? I painted it on, so maybe results would work better if you use less at a time? I do like the smell. It is not too over powering or strong, and not a chemical smell like some hair treatments. It smells clean. The bottle does not say to cover hair with a cap, so I did not, again, maybe results would vary had I done this. I know some conditioning treatments have you use a cap, but the directions didn't mention it, so my interpretation was it wasn't needed. I left it on for 10 minutes before rinsing. I noticed right away my hair felt stronger from it..... good sign. I usually lose a lot of hair in the shower, literally only 3 pieces fell out. My hair felt very dry though, despite being soaking wet, it felt like straw. Bottle says to follow up with their shampoo and conditioner. I did not have this on hand, so I washed the product out and thought I would enjoy the smell of it for a bit..... and I know it's repetitive, but again, maybe results would be different if I had done that step. I waited for my hair to air dry, since I did not want to add product or heat to ruin my results! After it was dry, I ran to the mirror and....... nothing! It looked more dry and more damaged after the product was applied, left on for 10 minutes and rinsed. It felt stronger if you lightly pulled on it, but I did not get the desired or advertised results. As mentioned, there are a few things I could have done differently, so maybe that is where I went wrong, but in my opinion not something I would be willing to spend money on or try again.

I've been a loyal extension fanatic for years. But my problem has always been that my extensions dry out and look frizzy in no time. I've tried water filters, oils, repair masks, olaplex (anything and everything recommended by hairstylists and influencers alike) . And all have fallen short and done little to help maintain my hair health, UNTIL NOW. I wish I took a picture of the before but this product along with the shampoo and conditioner took my extensions from literal straw that tangled every 2 seconds to soft, silky, flowy mermaid hair. The results after one use is better than months of everything else I have. Never going back.
I can't wait to see how much better it gets with repeated use.

I tried Olaplex and it never made my hair this soft like this one l. Upon first use it was already amazing. Better quality in my opinion. You get 5.1 compare to 3.3 oz. I even bought the shampoo set. Works fantastic with both! Sorry Olaplex. Redken wins.

This product is good, but as someone who has pretty damaged hair from coloring every month and using heat twice a week I don't think it gave me much repair as expected, but it gave me shine and made it much more manageable for sure.I would recommend this treatment for someone who doesn't have heavily damaged hair.

This is stunning for what it can do for your hair. It made my hair silky smooth in addition to really helping eliminate brassiness. The smell is really good too. You won't go wrong with this product. I even bought a travel size. Thank you redken! Great.

This makes my hair feel so much stronger whenever I use it and helps keep the vibrancy of my hair color (copper). It also smells so good, so fruity. I can tell the smells lasts a long time, and it has overall improved my hair's look.

the texture/ consistency of this product is short of conditioner like going on. The scent is really nice, a little bit fruity but with other notes added in. I noticed an improvement in my hair with 1 use; my hair felt smoother and stronger.
