They do feel balmy slightly sticky at first but as soon as I blend they dry down completely. You can't goop them on. They aren't meant to be worn that way. No chance of hair sticking to my cheeks. They also wear at least 8 hours for me. I don't know how they apply over foundation as I don't wear it. But these look best applied lightly and blended for a natural fresh look. They are like a clear color that looks fresh like wind blow cheeks. On the lips they dry down to what looks like a satin matte lipstick. They stay on my lips and leave a slight stain. Berry boost more than others. I own them all except red camellia. The only negative for me is the price. I know I'm paying extra for the name but I love them and will use regularly so I'm okay with it. Pic is Berry boost. Applied on cheeks and lips at 7am now 3:30pm. Reapplied to lips at 12:30 pm.Most Helpful Critical ReviewIt's pretty but it under performsI was really excited about this as I love balm/stains over matte products. I had high hopes but was really under whelmed. I purchased Vital Beige, which is a stunning color. On the lips it gives a nice flush of color, with good pigment but sheered down really nicely. I also used it on both bare skin and with foundation underneath and it only worked well on bare skin. It lifted the foundation beneath it despite me using the lightest of touch. It stayed super sticky on the skin which I really didn't like, and even an hour later it hadn't settled. The color did not last through the day, it was gone after a couple of hours. On the lips, it performed worse. I applied it in the morning and an hour later my lips had not a single trace of color. I hadn't eaten or drank anything and the color had fully faded. It's definitely not a product that would stand up to a meal. I'd say it would work better as a topper on a lipstick to give your lips a nice sheen as opposed to a stand alone tint. Considering how expensive this is, I really hoped it would be better, but lets face it, you're really just paying for the name. But you hope because you're paying for the name, that the quality of said product will also justify the cost. In this case, the product doesn't remotely live up to the standards most have when it comes to a brand as iconic as Chanel. I've put it on at night before and it really locks in the moisture into the next day. This is by far my favorite lip color to use in the winter as it's the most occlusive one I have found. Even after some of the pigment fades, the occlusives and emollients seem to last. The colors are super flattering and it both looks and feels extremely luxurious on the lips.
