I didn't realize I needed it until I started using it. The numerous relaxing sound modes provide an option for both my wife and I regardless of what sort of mood we are in. I really enjoy being able to have this on either a color changing flameless candle or even just a simple yellowish candle mode. Perfect addition to the side of the bath, especially given the rechargeable/cordless option. The bluetooth speaker does not produce the best sound as a speaker, but I really don't see the speaker as an important part of this product and the speaker is great for the included sounds. It was packaged very nicely overall, and it came ready to charge and use. The instructions are more complex than similar devices that I have seen and used in the past. While it appears simple, each button has a lot of different functions, all of which you have to hit the button to cycle through. For example, there are 16 different sounds you can have it play, and the only way to see which one you are on is to have the list by your side and start from the beginning. I couldn't even initially figure out if it was across or down the list, as the list was in multiple columns. The light button is similar, with multiple settings that are not incredibly intuitive overall. I also find the light to be really bright for something that I would have thought you would mostly use in darkened rooms as you were going to sleep. On the positive side, the set up was easy, as it charged immediately. The bluetooth took a couple of tries on the button to get it to recognize my phone, but now that it has recognized it, the connection is automatic. The volume for this thing is really good. When you first turn it on, it has a relaxing "breathe in, breathe out" type of mode which is really nice. It does so much more than I imagined and I love it. I gave 4 starts instead of 5 because the Bluetooth started turning on and off all by itself over and over for a couple hours (and it makes a noise each time) and I'm not sure why it did that, but there's a little reset spot on that back that I used to fix the issue.Great Little Product4Allan67 from Tuscaloosa, ALThe Sound Soother is great for someone like me the sleeps during the day. It's great for drowning out the outside sounds of the day. The candle glow is a nice feature for setting the mood but kind of bright for sleeping. I love the variety of sounds. My favorite is the thunderstorm. The bluetooth is a nice feature for playing music in my bedroom. The only con is I can only get one days sleep out of a charge(about 8-10 hours). This device drowns out the noise and helps me fall back to sleep.
