Even if I don't feel like putting on a whole face of makeup, I can still avoid looking like an extra from The Walking Dead by just applying mascara. But that mascara must lengthen, lift, and plump my lashes. I got all of that AND a very interesting wand when I tried It Cosmetics new Hello Lashes+ mascara. The formula is very high quality and even feels good on my lashes. The wand applicator is a little tricky at first. Turn the tube upside down and roll it between your palms. It will pull the pigment to the brush and allow for better application. The wand feels almost like an eyelash comb because it literally coats every single one of my lashes, even the bottom ones! Because of the clever design of the brush head, it coats all my lashes, including my inner corners, and it really lengthens them, too! I couldn't believe how long and lush my lashes looked after using Hello Lashes+. It stayed on almost all day, and it was easier to remove than most mascaras. I just used a cotton ball soaked in micellar water, and it just wiped it all away! That means it is super gentle on my lashes. My lashes looked like falsies without all the fuss and muss. The wand may take a little bit of practice. But once you get the hang of it, you'll see how it completely coats every single lash, short or long! I love every product It Cosmetics makes, and now this new Hello Lashes+ mascara is another instant fave!Most Helpful Critical ReviewDecent volume but "crunchy" texture…I was given a free sample of It Cosmetics Hello Lashes+ to try. I'll start with the good. I like how black it is, even before a second coat. I also like how it fans out my lashes. My favorite thing about this mascara is the applicator. The rounded tip does a good job of coating the shorter lashes close to the tear ducts as well as the lower lash line. It's easy to remove, and all it took for me was a cotton pad with micellar water held to the lashes for 15, 20 seconds and it came right off. Sadly, the wear wasn't so great for me. I applied a single coat the first time, because I was rushing out of the house and decided to throw on some lip gloss and mascara as an afterthought. It looked fine - nothing truly impressive, but a nice lift and a little separation. Throughout the day, I noticed a couple flecks of mascara on my cheeks, and gave it the benefit of the doubt. The next day, I applied two light coats, as I would normally do. My lashes felt a bit "crunchy", which I wasn't crazy about. I experienced flaking within just a few hours. When I got home, my cheeks were covered with several flecks of mascara…and a few lashes. I was disappointed because I've liked the last two mascaras I've had from It Cosmetics, and was even a repeat buyer of one, so this was not what I expected. I'd buy previous formulas, and even future ones, but, sadly, Hello Lashes+ is not for me. I dont remember buying it, maybe it was a free gift, but when I had to toss my last Tarte mascara I had this one in my cabinet and decided to try it. At first the wand was tricky but once I got used to it that end piece really fills out the shorter corner lashes and now I cant imagine going back to a regular wand. I dont think it has made my lashes longer or thicker, but it goes on clump free. I have short lashes but this mascara really defines them. I havent had the flaking others have complained about.
