It lathered into a nice foam. It did not really have a scent to it, which is neither good nor bad. The price is nice, and you only need a small amount. I have used MB products for years and am usually very satisfied. This one is wonderful - it IS gentle yet cleansing, foams easily - a little goes a long way.
