This one was much better!!! I'm 40, and my hair is thin, crinkly,dry and frizzy. really bad hair that no one wants to have. I used to think when it comes to shampoo, you can't have volume without moisture, and vice verse. Not the case with Purology Nanoworks. This shampoo gave my thin frizzy dry hair incredible shine, volume and moisture. It wasn't too heavy like the Hydrate shampoo. Lots of movement too!!Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot even close to the Original FormulaI had been using the original formula quite some time and was as happy as a clam. I purchased the new formula a while back thinking it had to be as good or better since it is still very expensive. I have coarse, curly, 50 year old hair. The original Nano Works was literally liquid gold and I had no problem splurging on it. This Nano Works is TERRIBLE! It dried out my hair! I have tried just using the shampoo with another conditioner and just using the conditioner with another shampoo but alas, both are TERRIBLE!! I am perplexed by this change. I have been hunting for a replacement for months. I decided to see if was the only one expressing this horror. I am clearly not the only one. I am desperate for a shampoo and conditioner that does what the original formula did. I am embarrassed to say that I am willing to pay almost anything to get the original version. It does lather well and leaves my hair and scalp feeling very clean. A little does go a long way. However, my hair felt extremly dry after using this product and i continued to use because i was hopeful it would eventually work. I never saw any results, my hair continued to look dull wihtout any shine and fall out Keep in mind my hair is not dyed and i rarely use heat on my hair- maybe once a month i use heat. The conditioner scent reminds me of Gold Bond lotion. And I'm not a big fan of that smell. It took me a while to get used to my hair smelling that way. I always end up going back to it becauss the conditioner works pretty well for damaged bleached hair & it's on the cheaper side. I randomly saw this and thought I would try it (I only bought the conditioner because $$$) so I can't speak for the shampoo but omg the conditioner is AMAZING!! I was honestly kind of hoping I didn't love it because it's pricey but as I was rinsing the conditioner out I could immediately feel a difference in how soft my hair was. Sometimes shampoo/conditioners like this can weigh fine hair down but like I said I haven't tried the shampoo. I have pretty thin hair and I just put the conditioner on my ends and didn't notice it being weighed down or anything. Every time I brushed I had to clean my hairbrush and I would have a huge clump of hair on my hand and that doesn't even include what I would fish out of my drain. Even when my hair starts to dry (I air dry) it feels softer. Then things get confusing. Once my hair is completely dry, not only is it very frizzy but my hair also feels stiff at the roots like I have product on my scalp. My hair doesn't move. When I run my fingers through it, the hair strands stick out and stay there a little before falling. I don't know how a shampoo makes your hair feel soft but lifeless at the same time.
