She wants to know to get started with makeup and do some "neutral" and "soft" makeup looks for her age that's appropriate and this palette was perfect to teach her how to start with a nude shade, and slowly build up more shades in the crease with some shimmers. I like how the palette had a variety of browns and shimmers and does not have a black shade. I tried to steer away from palettes that had darker shades because she has a tendency to go straight to the black and not blend. The only thing I wish this palette would have is a mirror inside the palette so she could see what she's doing with blending. However, the palette itself is a little pricey but I guess that's colorpop. I would definitely recommend this palette if you're teaching someone how to do makeup for the first time and getting used to blending techniques.Most Helpful Critical ReviewYou've Gotta Be 'Bluffin Me!As a Yelp Elite in HNL, I like sharing my experiences of places I visit or frequent locally. This however is my first time writing a review for a makeup product and I'm kinda excited about it! To share, at first I wasn't a huge eye palette makeup kinda girl or any makeup for that matter. in fact this is my first ever type of eye palette and this won't be my last. I've taken the liking for eye palettes, but this one was slightly disappointing - the reason? The color 'Bluffin completely crumbled after one use and when I say "crumbled" I mean it completely crumbled and turn into dust. Dust that went straight into the trash and now there is a big gaping hole where it used be. I'm so bummed as I really liked that color too! So out of curiosity I wonder if this has happened to others too? I do like this because of the range of colors it has to offer and the matte to shimmer ratio among this 9-color palette, however if the formula is "crumbly" like mines, I'm on the fence about recommending this to others.Reviewed by 352 customersNo1Margie from Miami FLThis is an orange palette.
