So beyond glad I tried this conditioner after reading rave reviews about it! My thick curly hair loves this stuff! It has amazing slip for being silicone free (cg method friendly!!). It smells just like the sunscreen, but I found the smell does not last. My hair usually picks up the scent of whatever styling product I use instead. My hair is nice and soft and shiny when it dries with this stuff! Definitely my HG summer conditioner - we shall see the results in the winter! I use this with SheaMoisture JBCO shampoo and they pair well together! (My hair doesn't seem to like sm conditioners :( ). Splurged and bought both the shampoo and conditioner. I thought because I frequently surf these products would be made with a girl like me in mind. Right away the products smelled surf and sun fabulous. Really loved the beachy vibe. However the shampoo seemed ordinary. Nothing special, luxurious or really formulated to protect. The conditioner was a really huge let down. Wow it underperfomed like nothing else. It was very light and clearly not made for someone who just dried their hair with blasting sun after soaking in salt water! Honestly, the conditioner felt more like what a good shampoo would feel like. Nothing about this felt like a quality set of products for my hair. The only positive was the smell and that didn't last an hour out of the tub. Sadly all my Sun Bum hair products went back to ULTA. I regularly use Whole Blends Honey Treasures and honestly couldn't wait to rewash my hair after using the Sun Bum products. I'm now investing A LOT of money on oils and specialized shampoo & conditioners in hopes that I can repair my hair. It's so dry and frizzy. It's lost all of it's softness and silky shine. ALL hairs have split from my (once cute) baby hairs, to the ends, and everywhere in between. If you insist on buying this product despite the reviews, just keep a sharp eye on your hair. If it looses softness or is frizzy within a couple days, throw it out and start the repair process. I have super long fine curly hair, and have tried so many products out there, and while some other products will work ok for me, i ALWAYS find myself coming back to this conditioner and shampoo. Personally, I have a really hard time detangling my hair(which I do in the shower) and this stuff makes it so much easier. One thing I will say is make sure you wring out the excess water from your hair before you apply this so it can actually soak into your hair and not just sit on top of it. I brush it through and let it sit for about 3 minutes and then brush my hair again under the water to rinse. Works every.time. Makes my hair soft and bouncy. The smell is a huge bonus, reminds me of the beach. I Pair this with the matching shampoo, the curls and waves detangling spray, and finish with the sea salt spray as my styler.
