I have NO idea where the "greasy" complaints are coming from, unless they aren't following the directions and slathering it on instead of using a small amount and patting on the skin (like you should with 99% of skincare products). A little goes a long way, and it is the ONLY moisturizer I have found that keeps me shine free and minimizes my pores all day without clogging them and making my skin angry in the process. For someone who has acne prone skin, that's a godsend in itself. Based off my love for this product, I've replaced pretty much my entire skincare line-up with Murad products (aside from my ride or die Glow Recipe items). I usually try to find the best cheapest version of something, but sometimes it's better to spring money wise for the very best product. This is it.
I have very oily and sensitive skin. In the past, regular sunscreens have always felt heavy and made me break out. The old formula of the mattifier never irritated my skin, felt weightless, and looked flawless under my foundation. Although the newer formula does have a pore filling, smoothing effect, it feels heavy and greasy ALL DAY LONG, and smells like orange blossom with a sunscreen smell. This does not mattify or control oil at all, which is half of what it's claiming to do. If you do not wear makeup, and have less oily skin than me, maybe this would work for you. The worst part is that my holy grail foundation, the Fenty Matte foundation, will not blend AT ALL over this mattifier. I have used the new Naked Urban Decay foundation and it seems to work better. I understand that this is probably a formulation incompatibility with the Fenty foundation and the new mattifier, but I have always applied my foundation in the same manner with a slightly dampened beauty blender, and my foundation has always looked amazing. When I try to blend the Fenty foundation over the new mattifier, it instantly CLUMPS and slightly hardens on the surface of my sponge but somehow manages to remain sticky enough to actually remove some of the foundation in patches as I am blending. I can see my skin in bits where the foundation has not blended. I have even tried applying less of the mattifier and waiting a few minutes before applying foundation, but, like I said, this stuff DOES NOT mattify and feels GREASY the second you put it on.

This is a nice product and I like Murad but it absorbs too quickly. I have purchased this moisturizer multiple times and everytime I mostly regret it because I always have to use a lot for my face to feel moisturized. If I don't put enough on I get dry skin flakes on my nose area or my skin just feels dry and tight. A little does not go a long way. It's definitely magnifying, I'll give it that.

I have super oily skin and this is part of my routine, especially in summer. I still get oily throughout the day, but it's not as bad and it takes a few hours longer with this product. It doesnt pill under my foundation at all, so I'm not sure why it's happening to other people.

I have bought this moisturizer at least 5 times, and it never misses! Makes my pores nonexistent, and keeps my oily skin mattified throughout the day. The only downside is the price, which is understandable because the quality reflects the price, but it still makes your pockets cry a little.

Does not go on well after skincare, and caused pilling so putting makeup on top was a bit frustrating. It also caused me to breakout. I retured this item after trying a few different ways to make it work with no luck. I don't recommend this product!

I felt this went on too thick, lots of pilling. Unfortunately will be returning this one.

I have bought and loved many Murad products, but I would not recommend this one. Looked and felt great when i first put it on, but after ten minutes the burning started. I removed the product, but the damage was done as my skin was red, extremely dry and flaky…. still burning. Three days later, I am still in intense discomfort. I returned this product to the store.

I have very oily skin and sensitive eyes and this did not work for me. It applies fine. It doesnt leave a white cast but stays somewhat tacky throughout the day and if you try to apply makeup over it pills and the causes the makeup to completely pick up if you touch your face. I also find it burns my eyes and makes my face just feel gross during the day. Not even worth the 50% off price I paid during the sale.

I like this sunscreen it works for my oily t zone. it needs a s a f e ty seal on the tube or at least tape on the box. at this price I shouldn't have to guess if it's been used or not.

I used it ONCE in the morning by the end of the day my cheeks were covered in small white postules that were not there in the morning when i applied this. This was the only new product in my routine so i know it's this. Also it stayed matte for maybe 30-1 hour at most, it became an oily mess after that. Gross and heavy i couldn't wait go get home to wash this monstrosity off my face.

very picky about spf because a lot of them are strong scented and leave you with a white cast or super shiny but this keeps you matte even though it comes out white!! expensive but amaaaaazing and worth it.

Being a chemical sunscreen you need to apply it right after your toner or essence. This needs to be absorbed by your skin in order to work. So as soon as you can apply it the better. Unlike physical sunscreen that should be used as the last step in your skincare routine. This might be the reason some people are experiencing pilling.

Ive been on the search for about 3 years for a sunscreen that will help my oily skin without any white cast or have the sticky sunscreen feel/residue. So far this is the best one ive tried. I have super oily skin to the point people think im sweating. Acen prone and cystic acne as well. This has not aggravated my skin at all and has helped my skin so much especially in the 100 degree hot humid summer weather. Helps control my oily skin for about 5-7 hrs which is far better than any other face sunscreen ive tried thus far.

I swear by Murad products. Everyone is different and you have to find what works for your skin. I've been using this for years and I mix different Murad lines to suit my needs. I'm not sure if this product has recently changed in ingredients or consistency or if it's my skin that's changing with age but this does come on a little heavy and kind of glue like. Use sparingly until you become accustomed to it and then pat overall. Give it a few to absorb and you'll see that your skin will remain hydrated and less oily throughout the day.

I would give it a five star, but the only thing about it is that it smudges white powders when you're wearing black. So you have to be very careful when wearing black. Other than that, it's pretty good. Very comparable to korean sunscreen except this gives a matte finish which is more ideal for oily and acne probe skin. It's so easy to reapply during the day. I actually look forward to reapplying this throughout the day because it almost blots the oil out of my face, this is also the first sunscreen that didn't make my skin breakout. 🥲

I've been using this product everyday for about five years now and cannot find anything that compares to it. I'm a very oily girl and am huge on protecting my skin from the sun but most sunscreens are made for dry skin or moisturizing. This sun screen actually protects my skin and leaves me with a noticeable amount of less oil on my skin at the end on the day! Never has broke me or irritated my skin. My #1 recommendation.

This used to be my go to product to start my routine in the AM. Now this new formula is too thick, starts pilling, and does not control oil at all. I can't find anything similar to the old formula, so its just disappointing to have something be a staple and then taken away.

I've bought several of these over the years and I keep coming back to it. I have moderately oily acne prone skin, and most face sunscreens make me break out (and I've tried several - I used to be a lifeguard lol). This was the first sunscreen for my face that didn't irritate my skin at all. And on top of it all, it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and it wears really well under make up. However, I don't wear a lot of face make up, so I can't say how well it would work with various foundations. I generally use just blush (both creme and powder work well over this) and highlight, but if I want some coverage I use the Fenty Eaze Drop (a blurring tint, which is light to medium coverage, and I generally only focus on my pores, like the apples of my cheeks, my t-tone, and chin. I apply it pretty lightly). Anyway, I love this stuff and am just about to buy another bottle (probably my 4th bottle now?) It also wears well! Isn't too matte, my face still feels dewy so it's not super drying, but not oily, just like a healthy amount of glow to my skin. 10/10!

I can actually wear this everyday. It smells good, blends quickly and easily, doesn't pill, and doesn't leave my face greasy like other sunscreens.

This is the only face sunscreen that I continue to purchase. It keeps my face looking matte all day long. This does not break me out, but I wish it weren't so expensive

I bought this in store. I live in a very humid climate area and I need to not look sweaty so I bought this. I put my vitamin C on and my Niacinamide and then this. It started rolling into clumps everywhere. It was so bad.

I love this SPF it's also not greasy, have been using for a while.

This sticks to foundation like CRAZY! I would have expected much better given the price, but this is virtually unwearable. Also, it's not waterproof. If you sweat even a little bit, it runs into your eyes. Not worth the price.
