My hair is naturally curly and wavy and it's never looked the same twice. I straightened my hair every single day (sometimes twice a day) for over 20 years. Being both bipolar and major OCD, I couldn't live with my hair being so crazy all the time. I live in Alabama and it's very humid year round and my hair is always frizzy too! I have washed my hair at least once a day for my entire life. Last summer I was in a car accident that left me with a permanent neck and shoulder injury. I can barely lift my right arm for 2 minutes, so drying and straightening it are no longer an option. I work in the office at a steel plant, where I'm the only female employee with around 35 men. I'm the Safety, HR and Office Manager and I'm regularly out in the plant where it's always hot. I wash my hair twice a day now and I'm no good with hair so it's never styled. I started using Surf Styler about a month ago and it actually makes my hair look good naturally. I've tried dozens of brands curl products over the last year and nothing made a real difference until I gave in and bought these sort of pricey hair products. I typically wash my long, fine hair in the evenings and let it air dry or go to bed with it still damp, so it has a tendency to look stringy and sad the next day. Since using this product, it is not only softer, but feels full and has a nice subtle wave. If you are looking for effortless body and softness as a result of your air-dry, this is a great product. Straight up solved all my problems with not really knowing how to style my very thick wavy hair. I always would air dry because I don't really know how to use a blowdryer, and would wake up with frizzy and confused looking hair. This product is super easy to use and makes my hair bouncy, shiny, and super healthy looking. With damp hair out of the shower, I split my hair in half and put a small amount of product on either side, then leave in a braid for a couple hours and all done! I wake up with super luscious waves by doing the absolute minimum. Absolutely no stringiness, stickiness, heaviness, or tangling that I have experienced with other products.
