It was a great deep conditioner for my transitioning hair as well as being fully natural as I am now. It has great slip and makes the detangling process a lot easier. My only critiques are I wish TGIN made larger size options for this product and to fully penetrate you need to leave it on for 30mins with heat or at least an hour without heat, so it definitely adds some time to your wash days.Most Helpful Critical ReviewI would not buy this product again. Horrible new formulaFormula changed. This was my go to Deep conditioner. It smelled amazing and had great slip and was very moisturizing. This was the only deep conditioner that worked for my low porosity 3b/3c hair. A while back they added hydrolyzed wheat protein in it and the smell is awful! It's very strong, the texture is thicker and the color is darker. You will not smell any honey in it at all. The wheat protein is over powering. I tried to like it despite the horrible smell but it no longer moisturizes my hair. I had to shampoo again to get that awful smell out of my hair. Very disappointed in the change. Hopefully one day she will change it back. FYI. They have not updated the ingredient list on the website or any other store that sells it. I have tried many masks such as Bondiboost (love) but they do not seek to last long and are twice the price/half the size. I used this on my hair today and immediately felt a difference! Either way I use this similar to the olaplex number 3. I wet my hair and then squeeze the extra water out and apple the mask for 45 mins. I then shower like normal so shampoo and conditioner, leave in and style or diffuse. This really does help protect my hair and add moisture because washing my hair. My hair feels better than the olaplex number 3 pre shampoo but I do still use that interchangeably with this item. I'll do this on a Saturday and then the next saturday ill do olaplex no 3. This routine has been working to keep my hair very healthy. The reason I don't use this as a conditioner mask in the shower is because it is too heavy for my fine hair. Great as a weekly treatment. It can also be used more regularly as a conditioner depending on your hair needs/type. But, like any heavy moisture treatment, it can weigh down the hair and cause buildup if overused. The scent is eh. It has a weird smell that lingers faintly.
