Most Helpful Positive Review Jack of all trades!
This device is the complete package. Dyson has truly outdone itself.
Here is what you get:
-Pre styling dryer or basically a mini supersonic hairdryer attachment
-1.6" Airwrap barrel x 2
-1.2" Airwrap barrel x2
-Firm smoothing brush head
-Soft smoothing brush head
-Round Volumizing Brush head
-A carrying case
This device is truly a Jack of all trades. Simply pop on each of the included attachments to either blow dry, curl, straighten or refresh your style the next day.
As someone that already owns and loves the supersonic hairdryer I thought there was no way the mini supersonic attachment could compete...boy was I wrong! I rough dried my hair in about 2 or 3 minutes.
After drying my hair about 70% of the way I wanted to give the round brush attachment a try. My hair is just above my shoulders, color treated and has a wave to it that is very frizzy and hard to manage. I've always been in awe of those that can do salon perfect blowouts at home. I, for whatever reason, cannot easily manage a brush and blow dryer at the same time. You need tension and the right amount of heat to smooth the hair and give it that volume. Enter the round volumizing brush attachment. Now I can easily do a salon style blowout at home with minimal effort. The round brush is grippy and really holds the hair in place while you create volume. I was so impressed how easy and fast it dried my hair without making it feel like straw. The end result was shiny, near salon quality blowout in a short period of time! So impressed.
The flat brush heads are great for straightening out or calming frizz. There is a firm and soft brush which each serve their own purpose. I haven't used these as much yet because the curling attachments are so fun to use! The firm brush head will give you more tension to straighten and smooth out your hair. Whereas the soft one will tame your hair but not necessarily straighten it all the way.
The real star of this device, and that's saying a lot, are the curling attachments. This is where the whole airwrap name comes into play. When I saw the curling attachments I was initially confused--there is no clamp or way to hold the hair to the attachment during styling...or so I thought. The curling attachments are like magic. Each size, large or small, comes with two attachments with arrows denoting which way it will wrap the hair--either curling it away or towards your face. You simply grab about an inch section of slightly damp hair hold the curling attachment towards the bottom of your hair and the airwrap magic does the rest. It will wrap, not suck, your hair around the curling attachment like magic. Hold it there for about 10-15 seconds and follow up with a cool shot of air to lock in your style and you either have a loser or tighter curl depending on the size of the attachment you used. I've seen other companies use a chambered device were you insert your hair to achieve a curl, which admittedly always scared me. I was worried it would burn or tangle my hair---not the case with the airwrap curling attachments. They do take a moment to get used to but once you figure them out you'll want to toss your curling iron!
I was able to blow dry and style my hair from start to finish in under 25 minutes. Typically I'd have to blow dry, then flat iron to get rid of any frizz that remained and then either add some waves with my flat iron or reach for my curling iron...which would take at least 35 to 40 minutes... and I still wouldn't get the body and bounce that the airwrap achieved! I also feel like this product is less damaging to your hair because it doesn't get as hot as my flat iron or curling iron.
The carrying case is awesome. My Dyson supersonic came with a pink carrying case and it's like tetris getting it back into the case, not so with the airwrap's case. There is plenty of room for each attachment and the case is high quality and sturdy.
Dyson has outdone itself!
Most Helpful Critical Review Not worth the money
I got the air wrap complete set for my birthday. I was so excited. Unfortunately here is the problems I ran into. 1st the curlers are hard to figure out and once you do you have to section very small pieces to be able to wrap it around the barrel. Note the curls do not last long at all. The second problem I ran into was that the machine took a lot GFI and keep tripping my breaker. So I constantly have to reset it to use it and nothing else can be plugged into the outlet at the same time.
What I like: the brush, round brush, and blow dryer heads are good with the exception of the breaker tripping all the time, I like these heads and use them, but I don't find that the price of this machine is worth it. For all that it is advertised for i only use 3 heads.

Glad I was able to catch this back in stock. I am in love with it. It saves so much time in drying my hair and getting ready.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS AIRWRAP!

There is a learning curve to using the air wrap but once you figure it out it's fantastic. I love the curls & it saves time not blow drying you hair first.
Love it just expensive

This is an AMAZING hair tool! I just feel like overall it's so nice & easy to use for doing you hair. I also like that it's so many things in one so I don't necessarily have to bring everything with me when I go places.

It's super easy to use and it dries my hair really fast. I have used all of the different attachments. The curling attachments seriously aren't hard to use if you just do small sections. I have super long hair and I didn't even need to buy the long attachments as long as I do small sections. It is expensive but it's replacing so many hot tools it's for sure worth it.

I have owned the Dyson hair dryer for about a year and fell in love with the quick dry time and minimal to zero frizz it produced. Once the airwrap came back in stock I jumped on it. I didn't love it at first, it definitely comes with a learning curve. But by use number three, I've fallen in love. Here's what works for me: blow dry till hair is damp and switch to desired barrel size (I use the largest barrel). I prefer to wrap my hair around the barrel instead of letting it catch and wrap on its own, I've learned this leads to more defined curls/ waves. Let it stay wrapped until completely dry, then blast it with the cool shot button for another 10 seconds. Turn off dryer to gently release curl, but cup it in your hand for a few seconds before releasing. This made the biggest difference in soft curls /waves lasting throughout the day, and with zero hair spray (I hate styling products). As someone who regularly highlights their hair, this is a game changer for hair health. I wash / blow dry / style 3-4 times a week and this already is making a huge difference in hair health. Plus, my hair just looks that much nicer. It bounces and lays so beautifully, a way that my curling iron cannot obtain (and I am known for my hair). Do yourself a favor, don't hesitate to buy this when it's back in stock. I saved a ton of ulta points plus opened the ulta credit card for the 20% off, making it absolutely worth it! Now to figure out where to put the huge carrying box it comes in...

I am by no means a professional hair stylist, I learn as I go and I LOVE this. If you're willing to take the time to play around and learn how to work it it's the best thing ever. In the box there's a little code that takes u to a 30 sec. video on how to curl which is incredibly helpful! I was concerned on the price however I just saved and figured if I hated it I can always return it (keeping it forever though) it saves so much time getting ready after a shower. All the parts including the curling extensions are to be used when your hair is wet/damp which is even better to me because my hair is drying curled/straight/whatever and I don't have to worry about it looking bad after an hour or so. Highly recommend if you're willing to spend the time practicing
Not better than Revlon
can2 from Chicago
I tried to love it but it just didn't compare to my Revlon! with the dyson it took longer to style and I felt my hair more crispy with the Revlon since the brush is bigger my hair was done in 5 minutes with a lot of volume and softness. I'd say if you already have the Revlon, you're better off! I did feel fancy using the dyson tho!
dyson because it caters to all
itsamazingang from north carolina
Dyson is ridiculously priced but it's the only brand of hair dryer brushes that cater to shorter hair. I'm talking above the shoulder length hair. The attachment allow you to find what works for your hair rather than other brands like Revlon that only work for longer hair. If you have mid length to long hair the Revlon I'm sure will work fine for you but for shorter hair the dyson is 1 million percent worth it. maybe if other brands catered the way dyson does and they had actual competition it wouldn't be so expensive but until then I'll keep spending.
This does an amazing job at getting my natural hair straight fast. from root to tip.
The softest curls and biggest volume
Tiff from Colorado Springs
Love it. My hair is so soft and bouncy...it does take a bit to get used to and quite a while to get done, but it's worth it.
Awesome device! I want to buy one for my mom next.
Kat from San Antonio, TX
I have extremely long and thick hair. This product cuts my time in half and decreases the frizz by a lot. Just wish it came with the long barrels. I already ordered them, and I'm excited to try them out. My hair feels soft and healthy compared to when I use a normal flat iron or curling iron. My favorite hair tool from now on, and later on I would like to buy the Dyson supersonic hair dryer. I'm hooked on their products now.
Not worth the money

Hair does not hold a curl when using this.
Expensive but so worth the money 6 in one
Stephy from New York
I really love this 6 in one you get everything you need to do so many different styles with out having to flat iron or if you want to just blow dry all you have to do is change the hair tool!!!! Game changer if you go on vacation and they best part you can use your points to get money off when you buy it at Ulta beauty 😊
I love this
ARubin from Chicago Il
I honestly wasn't sold on this at first. After attempt three I told my husband I was going to return it but I kept at it for a few more weeks. I'm so happy I did. The curling takes a while to get used to and to learn how you prefer it. The straightening brush is my favorite. I still do have to use a straighter on low after using it to get my fly always to stay down but I love it. Highly recommend
Not worth the ridiculous price
PharmDgal from North Carolina
I had this for a bit and never really used anything except the hair dryer attachment. The actual curling of hair takes forever and if you have a lot of hair, you'll have strands flying everywhere, even if you clip it all back. It just takes way too long, isn't practical and the curls do NOT hold at all. They drop immediately and you have to spray an obscene amount of hairspray just to keep them where you want them so you'll have to walk around with crunchy hair. I'll pass. I was sad to return this but I just didn't find myself reaching for it at all. I think I could justify keeping it if it was 200 or 300 dollars less. I could get more use out of my T3 curler and Bedhead blow out brush.
Yes! Hopefully I won't have to though.

Minimal heat is great for my thin hair!
Where has this been all my life?
ChrisW from New Mexico
My flat heavy hair doesn't have any volume unless I use this device. It is a total GAMECHANGER!! 😍😍😍
Worth every penny!

My hair feels "different ", lays better and just feels healthier!
Kirsten from New Jersey
I can't say enough good things about it! I can style my long, non cooperative hair in 10 minutes. After having a baby I have this "crease" in my hair that I could never get rid of, even with a straightener. But the air wrap styler gets rid of the crease completely. I also love that it's not as hot as a blow dryer so I'm not sweating by the time I'm done. So so good, wish I had bought it sooner!
Yes purchase is a must

Love blow drying my hair with this! Doesn't feel like I'm using much heat.
GLR from DuBois, PA
My hair is slightly shorter than shoulder length so I wasn't certain the larger wands would work, but they work really well. In just a few minutes I have beautiful curly hair. I will eventually buy the smaller wand to see what I can do with it. The wands do get really hot which I had not anticipated.
Would buy over and over again!
Allison from Smyrna, GA
I found that after watching tutorials it was very easy to use. I have never gotten the results at home that I do in a salon, but I did with the Airwrap!!!!!
Expensive but worth it
Hair Mom from Florida
I LOVE this product. I have been using for a year, no more split ends and my hair grows quickly. It does take so practice, watch YouTube videos. I bought this one for my college daughter. She says her hair feels soft and loves the beachy waves.
Not worth it
Sandy1 from Falls Church, VA
I have the original Dyson and I was happy with that. This Airwrap is just not worth it if you have a lot of hair. I have a lot of hair and only using an inch at a time takes forever! It is quicker to just dry my hair with my old dryer and use a curling iron. Buy the Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer (and use earplugs, it is loud) instead and save $$$!
Best!!! Amazing!!! In love
Ferny from Chicago
I have pretty thick curly hair and I thought that this wasn't going to work for me but it does and my hair feels so soft and healthy after I used Dyson!! I love it if it broke right now I'd buy another one!
