Most Helpful Positive Review Great for "No Makeup" days or as a primer!
The Zero foundation as expected covered no blemishes, redness or really any of my problem areas. Unfortunately that's something I look forward to in a foundation; I need help concealing imperfections since I don't have flawless skin. Perhaps the intention here is either encouraging acceptance of your skin by giving you a transparent foundation, or maybe it's just a gimmick to attract more buzz for a weird new product. It does effectively smooth and blur skin as it claims, and I absolutely love the balmy feeling that's similar to petroleum jelly. It's also hydrating and cooling, but almost instantaneously dries to a matte finish, which keeps any excess oils at bay. I also experimented in combination with both liquid and powder foundation to test it's efficacy as a primer and both seemed to work rather well. Frankly, I can only recommend this as a foundation to people who have flawless skin or are comfortable with how their bare skin looks and just want to matte down and blur their trouble spots. Otherwise a great primer!

Because you must be a literal angel if your skin's perfect enough to wear this as a foundation.
What I do love: The innovative idea behind a no-pigment product. I also respect the no-makeup and self-love movements, and I can see this fitting in to the concept of loving the skin you're already in.
However, this product is not for me. It barely blurred my skin unless I put it on thick. Yet I did put it on thick, my bf was like, "...what's on your face?" I won't be leaving the house without a layer of pigment, sorry.
Some people are saying this is basically a primer. My second time using it, I treated it this way. Sadly, my liquid foundation did NOT go on smooth over it. It was a mess. I had to take it all off and start from scratch with JUST pigmented foundation.
Another pro though: Even if I don't use it as a foundation, I like that it includes several humectants (hyaluronic acid, glycerin), so I may continue to use it simply to keep my skin hydrated.
Oh, and the cooling effect when you put it on is really pleasant! As is the beautiful aesthetic of the white and glassy container it comes in sitting on your bathroom counter (it's the small things)!

Foundation without stickiness or weight! All you need is a little concealer to complete the look.

I use this product at night or when I'm staying home. I still look great and it's not a heavy made up feeling.
Very good for "no makeup makeup"
Gigi from California
It's not a foundation, but it's excellent. If I could compare it to something, I would compare this to m Baby Skin, which came out when I was in college. Wherever I use this, I get compliments on my skin. It smooths out the texture and blurs imperfections. I will definitely buy it again.
Worked for me!
Saraa from Chicago
Yes it does act like more of a primer BUT I only conceal under my eyes and wanted to blur my face, not add color so this worked PERFECTLY!! I am SO oily and this was a GAME CHANGER FOR THAT!!!
We love her

We loooooove Becca ladies idk what is but it just makes me GLOW I feels GOOD the only problem is that it doesn't last all day or night really which is fine because I don't wear makeup all day all the time anyways so YES sisters treat urself to Becca
Worth the money if you want a natural look
Harlie from Demopolis, AL
This product is wonderful if you just want a fresh natural look. If you are used to full coverage foundation, you will be majorly disappointed. This does not feel greasy and melts into skin quickly.
Not everyone wants a full coverage foundation to look good!

I'm kind of sad to see all the hate for this product. Yes, it's a little strange, but it quickly became one of my favorite products. The best way I can describe it is that it plumps your skin (think skincare) but its finish is very similar to when you set your face after putting on foundation. My face can get a little oily in my t-zone, but this product prevents any shine from showing and my skin looks airbrushed but still natural.
I think it's a little ignorant to call it primer because for the most part, people don't just use a primer and go about their day. Any mattifying or pore-control primers I've tried are either too dry or too slippy on the skin. This product blurs your skin and makes it ready for the day, or you can add concealer on top if you really want to.
I appreciate Becca as a brand for taking risks on products like this, because not everyone out there wants a full coverage foundation or full coverage concealer. Can we calm down with the full coverage everything for a second?
Lastly, this is a really great option for when you're wearing your mask! I tend to get a little oily under my mask, but when I use this, I don't get oily at all.
expensive version of a matte primer
Katie from Oklahoma
I was so excited about this as a foundation alternative because I have oily skin. BUT after just two uses I can tell I get the same results from my drugstore matte primer. They have a very similar consistency and my skin looked the same.
What kind of sorcery is this?

In a word...magic. I don't know how this stuff works, but it does. i was inspired by a tiktok post talking about this foundation and I couldn't wrap my head around it so I ordered some to test out myself. I'm impressed. It is basically like walking around with an Insta filter. It blurs and mattes by some kind of miracle. It goes on fairly easily, though I will say, if you are too rough (i.e. use a dry beauty blender) and apply to fast it kind of flakes. So you have to tab or dab it on. Also, note the results are not immediate. I put it on, do my eyes and I can already see a "glow from within" taking place. I do follow up with a "touch" of Laura Mercier setting powder, and also use Tarte ShapeTape under my eyes. I've only used it for a few days, will update if I notice any breakouts. So far, A+

I didn't really notice a difference besides oil control. I don't wear foundation (just concealer to spot correct) so I was really looking forward to trying this. It's pretty expensive to just use it for oil control but I think it will be a decent primer. I personally won't be buying again

It's not a foundation at all. You're just walking around naked.
Don't waste your money

This product does absolutely nothing! It didn't even provide oil control. Please don't waste you're money ladies!
I would defintely buy this again

It's great. Easy to apply and lasts all day.
Bye bye pores and bumps
Angie from Albuquerque Nm
I have pretty good skin. Only problem is I have large pores and bumps on my nose that my esthetician says the only way to be rid of them is lazer treatments. They don't bother me that much but always draw my attention when I take a picture. This stuff blurs them out in my selfies that my skin looks so smooth and soft. I top it off with some face powder and it's all I need for flawless skin. I was a skeptic at first and thought this was dumb till I saw my friend use it to help with a scar on her face. Tried it out for myself and now I am a believer. It is pricey but if you have texture issues... and pore issues. So worth it.
whered it go?
delighla from Minnesota
it soaks in nicely and then...its gone. i got better results using the putty primer by elf as a "foundation" than this.
Allison from Texas
What a disappointment. I'd wear primer alone before I'd wear this. What a waste of money.
Not very blurring
Ericka from Georgia
It's just OK. It doesn't blur very well or as much as I wanted. It does give a nice lightly matte look without looking dry. I'll stick to Murad Invisiblur with SPF because that blurs every imperfection on the face perfectly.
Give it a try.

Use on a freshly washed face. I apply over my moistuizer. Foundation lasts all day. On no make up days, i use insterad of traditional foundation. I will purchase again.
No a Foundation, Not a Primer, Not Skincare
Earthymoon from Huntsville, AL
I have received 3 samples of this and tried them all to see if there was any validity in the making of this product. I found that it was not useful enough to exist. This product is made of a synthetic polymer (think orbees or fake snow). It can absorb water and expand. It does not absorb oil. So it isn't useful as a mattifying product. It's not useful as a primer to foundation because this polymer does not mix well with the ingredients in foundations. It causes the foundation to separate and pill. This isn't useful as skin care because there is no occlusive to hold in moisture. It has hyaluronic acid but this will wick moisture from your skin without an occlusive.
In short, the product was cooling when it touched my skin. It made no visible change to my skins appearance. It MIGHT have absorbed a bit of sweat but was not mattifying. Not a foundation, not a primer, not skin care.
Its a primer
banaberry from NY
Its a nice primer, has a pleasant feel to it. I wore it alone so no idea how it actually performs. I don't recall getting oily and my skin did look a bit airbrushed.
I thought it was silly but
Pale snow. Queen from Minnesota
... ok o actually like it. It's clear but it fills in my pores really nicely I can just plop this on and go. I used a little concealer and it was really nice with a mask. My masks keep rubbing off my foundation so when I'm able to have the mask off I look ridiculous.
— mask wearing it's lovely to fill in some pores. Pair with concealer and live your life.
1 Star "foundation" 5 start skin care product
Cassidy from Pennsylvania
I love this product for daily use as traditional foundation looks horrible on my skin (I have tried everything). I dont think I would market this product to those who can use a light coverage foundation maybe market it to those who really can't use any foundation product. I don't really notice any visible difference other than I have less oil at the end of the day and after a week of using the product my skin feels a bit healthier. I have an EXTREMELY hard time finding any product that works with my skin. I am on two different topical medications for bad cystic acne the medication has cured my acne 95%. BUT I now have a crazy skin texture. I will continue to use this product daily and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a product kinda like foundation with medicated skin.

I'm a huge fan of this product. I was looking for something that would be light for the summer months and virtual covid meetings. This product did it. I put it on with some face powder and a little bronzer and I'm good to go.
Awesome Concept but Unremarkable
SkinCareGuy24 from Traverse City, MI
First off, I really do enjoy this product. However, the whole "no pigment foundation" is a marketing ploy and incredibly misleading. Perhaps they're taking the idea from Deciem's Hylamide brand Photography Foundation? I just think this Becca product is maybe meant more for results in photos, hence the "virtual foundation" description. I'm just speculating, of course.
Anyhow, I enjoy using the product as primer and skin finisher nonetheless. I've found it to work wonders under my Born This Way powder foundation as a primer. Definitely prevents the powder from clinging to any dry spots or in fine lines. My skin appears fresh and dewy after application and feels good going on. It should be noted there is minimal "blurring" of the skin, at least in person. Perhaps photos will show otherwise. I have less expensive blurring primers that do that 10 fold better than this.
I will actually most likely repurchase. I hope they put some more R&D into this product, as I believe the concept is definitely worthy of advancement.
Awesome, love it, rebuying!
Mindy from Ky
I'm so sad this has been met with such negativity. I love it, it makes my skin looks so much more perfected. Even my husband says he notices a difference. I use this and then spot conceal and proceed with the rest of make makeup. It's great for light makeup days when you don't wants a lot on your face and just want a natural look. It's very light and doesn't feel heavy. I hope they keep making it, I'm contemplating buying a stock if it lol
