Most Helpful Positive Review Great tinted formula, but too small for price
I was recommended this by one of the staff at Ulta after asking if there were any mineral only sunscreens that didn't leave a white tint when I put it on my skin. After trying it out it really is a great liquid sunscreen that absorbs smoothly into the skin, doesn't transfer onto clothes/towels, leaves a nice tan skin tint, and makes my skin glow without looking or feeling greasy!
Truly amazing considering my lack of luck with finding a good mineral sunscreen that doesn't make me look "casket ready"!
The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the bottle is small, and considering the price... I would want a lot more from it. Because it's so small I decided to only use this for my face, I truly would want to use it all over my body but it would get really expensive to replenish after awhile :(
Hopefully they consider making a bigger size that is worth buying for the price, because the size of this bottle could be the travel size!
Most Helpful Critical Review Not Entirely POC Friendly
I have been looking for a daily sunscreen to use that does not leave a white cast on my skin. I've seen many good reviews for this one, and decided to try it. I love that it is not greasy or oily, feels very lightweight, doesn't break me out like most sunscreens and that it provides a nice base for my makeup. I will say I am not a fan of how hard it is to rub in, I feel like I'm going to scrub my face off, but after it is rubbed in it feels like I'm not even wearing sunscreen. It did not leave a white cast per say but because of the tint, it looked almost as though I was wearing the wrong shade of foundation, if you are a person who wears foundation, this may not be a problem because you could just cover it up, but I do not and it just made me look very pale and thus after putting on my makeup I looked almost like a clown. If you have a lighter skin tone this may not be a problem but I have medium-deep skin and this did not work for me which is disappointing because the formulation is great. Perhaps in the future they can release a line with different tints for different skin tones!

I purchased this product in store and it is terrible! It feels like there is granular sand in the product! My skin becomes irritated when using it and it feels like a physical exfoliation. I wonder if I got a bad batch? This product is a SOLID pass and would NOT recommend.

I received a sample bottle of this sunscreen and was so excited to try it because I have seen good reviews online, but this was sooo gritty it irritated my skin. I like the tint and 'weightless' is an accurate description because it's so thin, but it felt like I was rubbing sand on my face. Definitely will not purchase the full size unless they fix this issue. Sounds like a lot of other reviews are similar to mine.
Grains in product irritated my skin
Monika from Las Vegas, Nevada
This came with tiny, hard white grains in the product and I didn't realize until I started to rub it into my face, I was confused considering that it is a sunscreen and it shouldn't be doing that but I guess the formulation is just not that great. Because of this it completely irritated my cheeks, it was like putting small bits sand mixed with lotion on my face. There's better formulated & cheaper priced mineral sunscreens that don't not leave a white cast, and especially don't have grains in them. I regret wasting my money on this.

Is you are black/POC you'll def get a cast. Or you can choose to rub in for 10 min and sacrifice the rest of your skincare. The ingredients are fantastic. Had to mix with chemical sunscreen on top to get rid of cast. Licorice root is a great ingredient but dang...the cast, the application, the texture. Not worth the price. Pretty sure it breaks me out too. Feverfew. But their label says noncomedogenic.
Gritty no matter how much I shake it

I love how the tint literally disappears BUT I can't get the ball like grittiness go away will probably not repurchase
Greasy and tint too dark
Amanda from New York
I really wanted to like this sunscreen but unfortunately it just did not work for me. I have Normal-Dry, sensitive, fair skin. The tint in this sunscreen was ever so slightly too dark for my skin tone and looked a little orangey on me. My skin tends to lean on the drier side but even still it was most definitely not matte. Not even semi-matte. It's just greasy. It feels like it never dries down and I'm shiny all day, even after blotting. The transfer is also hilariously bad. The slightest touch of anything to where it's applied and you end up with orange marks. I expect some transfer with a tinted sunscreen, but this one is ridiculous. The only good thing I can say about it is that it didn't irritate my sensitive skin or aggravate my rosacea.
Would Not Repurchase

I love FAB. I have lots of FAB. So, when this came out, I was very happy and purchased the full size immediately. It turns out I should have waited. This stuff is grainy. No matter how many times I shake this bottle, it still comes out grainy. By the end of the day, it pills on my neck. I don't recommend this sunscreen and I will not repurchase. I struggle each day to finish this disaster of a sunscreen, and I think I may finally toss it. I've used 3/4 of the bottle, and it just keeps getting worse.
Not good quality.
Ellie from USA
I basically paid almost $40 for us on the screen that is oily and greasy as heck and it is guncky and chunky. There's some weird chunks in there which I'm not a fan of. I think that although it doesn't have a cast I'd rather use that CeraVe sunscreen or the Purito Centella one. They are both good and less than $20. Save your money.
Loved my first bottle but this one has chunks of minerals
Mel with sensitive skin from Florida
When I bought a trial size of this sunscreen and another bottle earlier this year, it became my go-to sunscreen; however, this latest bottle contains large pieces of undissolved minerals. It feels like sandpaper to apply on the skin. Since I ordered it a month earlier than I needed it and I am just now opening it, I doubt I can return it. I have attempted to contact the company directly to make them aware of the issue. First Aid Beauty used to be my favorite skincare brand for my sensitive skin; however, it looks like I will be trying to find another product that meets my needs.
Gritty and irritates
whitney from Houston
Someone else posted a similar review, but this is greatly with WHITE oddly shaped little bits in it. It irritates your skin as you're smoothing it on. The positive is that after you do get it smoothed on, the color doesn't leave a cast and absorbs, while not dehydrating. This is the reason that I didn't give one star. I was hoping this would replace the Murad due to the price point difference. But alas, the search continues. I will not be buying this again.
Gritty and pills up
MACgirl92 from Lakewood, WA
I love that this is a physical sunscreen - what threw me off is that it's gritty and pills up... but like extreme pilling. Not to be gross but looks like you exfoliated dead skin off your face. I do not think this likes other skin care products and does not do well under makeup. I would ONLY recommend this for no makeup days and outdoor events such as hiking, biking, things like that.
Best mineral sunscreen I've used so far
Alyssa from Michigan
This is a great sunscreen for everyday use. Absorbs into skin very quickly, looks quite pigmented right out of the bottle which concerned me since I am very fair but it just gives me a little bit of a healthy glow. I can see this being good for oily skin as well since it has a mild matte finish. It is not irritating or drying on my sensitive, dry skin.
Gritty and Greasy
charlie from Anaheim, CA
I am not at all a fan of this sunscreen but will use it up so not to waste any more money than I already have. This sunscreen has a really gritty texture, even when shaken up, which makes it very unpleasant to put on this sunscreen. It is really lightweight, but on me it leaves a greasy look that does not help with my usual oily shine that I'm trying to mattify. Hyram, I really don't know what you were thinking with this one.
Fav sunscreen yet
HOUTX from Houston,TX
This is a great sunscreen for people who are texture sensitive. I don't know if I'm the only person who is sensitive to texture but things that leave a residue feeling drives me crazy and gives me anxiety. So if you are like me, this is the best sunscreen!
jhvoorhies from memphis, tn
for a mineral sunscreen, this is superb! this helps keep my oily skin less oily throughout the day and also provides a nice natural glow. I also have noticed that this does not transfer to my clothes as easily as other tinted sunscreens. it is a bit pricey, but the experience is really wonderful. this would be a solid 5 star product if the spf was higher and if it was not as gritty. I alternate between this one and a korean one (Purito Comfy Water).
Gritty and leaves cast
Kblack from Atlanta, Ga
Gritty and leaves cast. I messaged the company on IG about the grit and they said "it should be smooth". Well, it's not and I'm returning it.
Nice and lightweight
Bern4 from Colden,NY
First got this as a sample with purchase. Loved it so much that I had to buy. I have dry skin with numerous allergies. So it is always difficult finding products that cause a reaction. The formulation is lightweight and has a very slight tint. Been using for a month and no problems.
Want to love it but can't
FAB addict from Chicago
I want to love this because FAB is one of my absolute favorite brands. Unfortunately, the tint is too heavy for my fair skin, and it sometimes oxidizes to the most intense orange I've ever seen on my face. The texture is nice and it does protect your skin.
tob from Virginia
pretty light and despite the tint looks fine on my medium light skin tone. smells a bit funky and the smell does not dissipate.

This product best sunscreen I've used it isn't greasy it has a great color for anyone no matter what skin tone.
Leaves a cast
Beautifulones80 from Toledo, OH
I heard great things about this sunscreen so I decided to give it a try. The first few times I used it I didn't shake the bottle as the instructions say so I thought that was why I was getting the white cast. And I shouldn't even say white cast. It looks like a tinted moisturizer that is about 5 shades to light. So the next few times I shook it before use and STILL got the white cast. I returned it and will go back to my L'Oréal moisturizer until I feel like paying the money to try supergoop.
Not for everyone
Makku from MN
I got a tiny bottle sample of this and at first I loved it, I'm a medium skinny one and there wasn't any white cast, and it actually was almost like a glossier skin tint on me evening my uneven skin but after a few days it started giving me cystic acne :/ too bad this didn't work for me
mirlebron from Southern California
It is truly weightless! for a wonderful mineral formula, this goes on so weightless. The slight tint is amazing because i was in need of a mineral sunscreen that was not going to leave a white cast on my tan face. it gives you such a nice SUBTLE glow. i go out all the time with just this on my face. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.
LOVE IT!!! (Black people friendly ☺️)
Khadeej from New York
I have a darkskin tone(like a darkskin black person) and this sunscreen literally leaves nooo white cast whatsoever. It looks like a tinted moisturizer that is way too light for me when I squeeze it out of the bottle but when I put rub it onto to my face it blends right in.
AS03 from MO
Used this sunscreen for a few days. The texture of the sunscreen was gritty & beady (even after shaking well). My makeup did not stay put after letting it dry. I had high hopes since it was for Acne prone skin.
