Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium:

I bought this because the Ulta employee recommended it to me. After trying to put it on with a damp sponge (how I always put on powder), it wouldn't stick to the sponge. I then used a brush and it felt like the product wasn't even applying to my skin. After finishing my makeup, I took a photo with flash, and there was an extreme white cast under my eyes! Please save your money on this!

Do not take a photo with flash!

Is there a -100 star button? This setting powder is awful! I have fair skin and I recently graduated college. My photos from the ceremony are ruined because this powder showed up completely white! Born this way setting powder is my absolute go-to!

    HG T-Zone "Setting Powder"

    By Mary

    from Clearwater, FL

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium:

I do not use this to mix in. I use this as a 1st layer T-Zone setting powder only, and by doing so, this powder makes my skin look FLAWLESS. I'm 39, I live in Clearwater, FL where the humidity is very real and I have combo skin that leans oily most of the year thanks to the humidity. I use a very light layer of this over my foundation and concealer in the T-Zone and on my temples only, followed by another powder over this and the rest of my face. I usually use the Maybelline Fit Me Powder for that part, but sometimes I'll use either the Laura Mercier translucent powder, or 2 other powders Ulta doesn't have (but hopefully will soon!) which are the Too Faced Mattifying Peach Perfect powder or the RCMA No Color powder. When I use the Velvetizer in my T-Zone first, I end up with the most flawless, oil-at-bay, face for the entire day with no creasing! I truly believe this is the best and honestly, only purpose for this powder. The only problems with this product are that you get very little product for the price, and that the container could use some work. But to me, it's worth it because of how stunning this makes my skin look for as long as it does. This can work great all over the face on its own, but you'll go though it so fast that way and for the price, that can get costly over time. I feel I've discovered the best way to get the best out of this product and that's to use it as a light 1st layer T-Zone powder only. The Maybelline Fit Me plays really well with this and that's only like $8 or something, so it can be made to last. I think this product is just amazing.

If you peel back the purple label all this really is is the naked skin powder repackaged.

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium:

It was a little messy trying to use it to mix into my foundation so used it as a setting powder over Estée Lauder double wear instead and let me tell you, the results are impressive!! It is definitely a HG setting powder for me!! I will be repurchasing !

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium:

I would give this product 5 stars for its lovely finish...BUT A LOT of product is WASTED. The powder flies everywhere no matter how gently you dip your brush into it. The container is totally wrong for this product! Because of wasted product combined with a high price, I do not recommend it.

Urban Decay would love for us to think that this an amazing new product, but alas, it is not. Pull off the Velvetizer label and what are you left with? A jar full of Naked setting powder! Oh my...

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium:

Does not mix well with Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation, cakes easily and makes my face look orange. However, it does mix well and looks matte with Estee Lauder Double wear. I've noticed I have to double clean my face when I wear it - doesn't like to come off and causes clogged pores, ugh! Good luck cleaning your makeup brushes!
