Most Helpful Positive Review Love!!
I hate sunscreens but am absolutely OCD about wearing them. I have acne-prone skin that is definitely combo skin...very oily through the t-zone and almost dry everywhere else.
After making my way through every drugstore brand, organic brand, and a very few department store brands I decided to try Clarins again...I used to use this several years ago back when it was still SPF 30! I hate spending this much money but, well, it IS my face we're talking about and Neutrogena and Aveeno just weren't cutting it.
What a surprise! Yes, slightly disappointed that this is a combo-blend sunscreen....I do prefer my physical blockers, but titanium dioxide IS the key ingredient (wish there could have been some zinc in there though) and the chemical blockers Clarins uses are of the least "toxic" variety.
I'm almost hesitant to dare say that....my skin is clearing up since wearing this sunscreen! It wears well under my Tarte foundation and powder and I don't need an additional moisturizer.
I will start saving my spare change and cut back on the lattes in order to continue buying this fantastic product!
Most Helpful Critical Review Not using Clarins now the formula has changes
I used the Clarins Mineral 40 UV Plus for over seven years. Seven years of daily use. Repurchasing. Singing its praise. Getting a friend hooked on it...then the formula changed and in order to boost the SPF to 50, you added chemical sunscreen. The 40 was amazing. The scent was pretty and light and didn't have that chemical smell to it. I cannot use chemical sunscreens, because, and I know this sounds odd, they cause part of my tongue and fingertips numb. The 50 did that to me. Never an issue with the 40. I have been hunting high and low for a sunscreen to replace the Clarins 40. Nothing compares, so too be honest, since my last bottle of 40 ran out, I depend only on my CC cream for sun protection. Sad. There should be the option of 40 chemical-free sunscreen in addition to this 50 if you're so insistent on keeping this new formula.

UV Plus Tint
Feesah from undisclosed
I am disappointed Clarins discontinued the dark tint. It was a great substitution for foundation especially during the summer months and it matched my complexion perfectly. Also, they have discontinued the concealer in #4 which is also for darker skin tones. I have used these products for years but am now looking for a brand that carries a range of colors for all skin tones.
Finally No Awful Tint!

I am so glad they got rid of that tan colored tint. The non-tinted has a slightly white cast which lightens & whitens my pale skin beautifully. (This may not work for everyone though).
Best Sun Protection for Face & Lasts !

I have been using the Clarins UV Protection since first available- and continue because it's the best and durable. I spend a lot of time out doors , year round. It lasts for hours and is very lightweight. Because of it's exceptional protection I have purchased it for my husband & sister- they love it !

We have been using the 40 sunscreen since my kids were babies 15 years ago, it was the best sunscreen on the market by far. Don't like the new formula, we exclusively used the old formula, but now will have to look for something else. Please bring the 40 back. I always highly recommended this 40 sunscreen formula to friends and family, will definitely not recommend this anymore

I was introduced to Clarins Sun Protection SPF by Ulta makeup staff a year ago;at the time I hesitated only because it was pricier than other products I had used before. But I needed a strong sunscreen after a skin cancer scare. Clarins brand does enjoy a great reputation so I permitted Ulta staff to apply on my skin. I immediately liked the silky feel and how easily it glided on and blended perfectly. (I use the LIGHT 01...as a side comment, I am very confused by the reviews criticizing Clarins for the 'no-tint' since they clearly offer 4 options...no-tint, 01, 02 and 03). To continue, I use this daily alone, no foundation, and my skin really looks amazing. It is also budget friendly as it only take a few drops for my entire face; a bottle lasts for months and does not get cakey or dry out. I have added this as one of my go-to products! Thank you Ulta and Clarins.

I have used this product for years and it is my must have! It goes on so thin and actually makes my makeup look better and stay longer. It is one of the few products that does not make my face breakout or sting my eyes. I absolutely love it!

Lala123 from Virginia
The tinted version of this sunscreen is what drew me to the Clarins brand! It was perfect for me! I do not wear heavy makeup and this kept my face protected and covered up some age spots simultaneously. It was light, didn't leave any residue, didn't cause any acne breakouts. PLEASE bring it back! Thank you
Why did it change?

Like so many others, I used the tinted version of this for years as a base, and I can't imagine why it was discontinued. Any chance of a revival?
Rose37 from Reno

Catherine de Ricci from Virginia
I've been using Clarins UV Plus SPF 50 x last 3 years as a foundation/sunscreen and like it. I'm a dermatologist. The compound is light, smooth and does not leave small particles on pores which is one of the reasons causing milia. However you still need to use extra moisturizer along with it. In addition, it does not cause eye irritation when sweating/playing sports. The older version is definitely better with less sense/chemicals which could be allergens.
Bring back product please!

3 stars because you discontinued the tinted versions. I came online to replenish the medium version. Perfect in summer since I am not a foundation person. So disappointed.
