I admit I looked up tutorials on how to use it, and following a few simple rules, this has become my absolute favorite palette! The light matte is for highlight, under brow and in inner corner of eye. The dark matte is your transition shade, for blending just above your crease. The foil gold shades go on your lid, lighter inside and darker outside, and you have to pat them on not brush! And then the beautiful maroon color is your accent, for your outside corner and crease, which is really easy to amp up as you want! I'm sure you can play with other uses for the colors, but for me this method ends up beautiful every time! Foil colors will not apply with normal brushstrokes! I've heard this is true of all foils/metallics, regardless of brand. Use your fingers or the flat brush and pat! Do it right and it's just stunning! There's tons of tutorials on YouTube - if in doubt, check them out! Oh, and use an eyeshadow primer - with one, it lasts all day with no muddying of colors! Always pigmented, but smooth and blendable. This would be a perfect palette except that the two shimmery shades are too similar- I think a foiled or shimmery blush pink or a rich matte cranberry would take this up a notch.
