Comments about Lime Crime Online Only Unicorn Hair Packette Full Coverage:

I have dark brown hair that has faded ends from previous years of coloring and growing my hair out. Like an unintentional ombré. I wanted to try this just to see if maybe the colors would work on my hair. I got Blue, Pony and Chocolate Cherry. I just did a few highlights since there's a lot in the packets but not enough for full coverage, obviously. I left them on for an hour, wrapped my hair in a T-shirt and sat under a dryer. I can't see the blue at all but I can tell that my hair is slightly darker where I put it. Maybe in the sun I'll be able to see it. I can see the Pony but I know in one spot that it washed out completely. I was surprised to see how vibrant the spots that didn't wash out were for having dark hair. The Chocolate Cherry is noticeable and I really like it. I don't think I'd use any of the colors I got for full coverage but I'm definitely going to try others like Squid. They didn't wash out on wash day either.

Comments about Lime Crime Online Only Unicorn Hair Packette Full Coverage:

ok so i got this little packet to dye my hair for valentine's day but only the tips and when it says full coverage it means it. i looked it up and it said to leave it in 1-2 hours for long lasting vibrant color and 30 minutes for pasty. i didn't want my hair booming with distracting red dye bc we aren't even supposed to dye our hair but oops. my hair is booming with red dye. okay so this smells like vanilla and i want to eat it and there is a ton in the packet and my hair is really thick and i had a ton left over and for the price this is really really pretty!!! i'm dying my hair again the the summer but i'm getting the big one!!!!! idk how this thing had such bad review!

i recently dye my hair black permanently from meduim brown hair. will the color still show up ? doees i need to bleach it first? how long does the color last and can i use it on my whole head or tips of hair?

      A:

We recommend using Unicorn Hair on freshly bleached or light hair. Using Unicorn Hair over already dyed hair will alter your end result. If you choose to use Unicorn Hair over other colors, do a strand test first to determine your color result. The life cycle of your hair color will depend on 3 factors - depth of shade, condition of hair, & how often you wash it. Have fun! :)

Is the dye permanent? I have dirty blond hair and was planning on trying bunny.

      A:

Thanks for asking! Unicorn Hair a hyper-performance, semi-permanent hair dye. Tints, like Bunny, are more sheer in nature - they are suitable for pale blonde hair and will create more pastel results. Enjoy!

  • Q:

Can you mix colors to kind of darken it up? I was thinking of adding a little chestnut to Valentine to try and tint it darker. Will it hurt your hair if you do this? (I would do a test area to see if I like the color, just asking for chemical compatibility).

Would the color sext or on mute show up on my hair if it's bleached but has an orange to yellow color? It's only bleached on the tips.

    • Brand Expert

      A:

Thanks for reaching out! We recommend using Unicorn Hair in Full Coverage shades, such as Bubblegum Rose or Aesthetic for hair that is darker than pale blonde to start. Keep in mind, colors will show up more true to color on pre-bleached hair, and more as a tint on non- bleached hair. We always recommend doing a patch test and strand test. And we made it easy for you! You can order packets separately to try out the shade(s) you want. Have fun, Unicorn! :)
