I received the Conair Unbound Cordless Flat iron. The flat iron has a 1 inch titanium flat plate and has 4 heat settings: 280, 320, 360, or 400. I have super thick hair, so I had to use 400. The cordless flat iron comes with a charger cord, a heat-resistant pouch to store your flat iron, and comes in a rather nice looking box that latches close with magnets. The flat iron is a pretty pinkish purple color that is very subtle. The control buttons to change the temp and turn on/off the flat iron is on the inside of the flat iron. Once the flat iron is on, you can see the temp lit up in LED light numbers of the temp that you have it set up for on the outside of the flat iron. In order to use the flat iron, you should first charge it for at least 3 hours. The direction recommend charging it every 3 months to prolong battery life even if you aren't using it. On a full charge, the flat iron is supposed to last up to 25 mins and does have an auto shut off feature if it's on for 15 mins or more. When using the Conair Unbound Cordless Flat iron, I think it is definitely better than other flat iron that I have used. I love that its cordless, has 4 temp settings, and that it has an auto shut off after 15 mins. I love knowing that because its cordless, I can bring it with me to do my hair at work, if I am running late. The flat iron is just the right size to fit into my tote bag. Also, I'm a little forgetful, so I think its great that there is an auto shut off after 15 mins. I would never want to forget and melt something down. That is one of my worst fears. I would totally recommend this product to my friends and family. In the past, I would always get so frustrated because of the cords getting twisted and not being close enough to the outlet. Now, those frustrations are a thing of the past.
I was very excited about this product because I've really been looking for a cordless straightener that can be used everyday and not just for travel. Sadly, I am still looking now. I returned this guy because even though it is beautiful and cordless, it just doesn't do the trick for my hair. My hair is fairly thin as well and it took a while to heat, and even at the highest temp it didn't straighten my hair like my normal straightener does. The plates could be a bit bigger too, that would be nice. I'll stay tuned for any updates on this product because I really wanted it to work.

I was so excited to buy this and use it, I thought it was cool... Until it wasn't. 3 hour charging time and only lasted about 15-25 minutes. The highest heat setting is 400°F, but it feels like it doesn't even get that hot! Sucks that you can't use it while it's charging. Definitely not recommended for medium to long hair & thick hair, too.

I received this as a Christmas gift from my parents. This was an item I had been looking forward to as it was in the pricy side for us. Sadly, I wish I could return if if I had not thrown the box away in the Christmas rush. This does not get hot. At 400, I can place my finger on the heat plates without any pain. Since this is not even hot to the touch, it will do nothing to my hair. Do not waste your hard earned money. Guess it's back to the old straightener for me.

It does it's job. I am giving it 2 stars because I have A LOT of hair. I gave this thing a FULL charge and it died 3/4 the way through. Now, I get to sit here and wait for it to charge for ANOTHER 3 hours just to finish my hair. I will NOT be buying again, and DEFINITELY do not recommend for anyone with a lot of hair.

Thought it would be great cordless. It is for 15 minutes. After waiting a day to charge the battery. Then on the 2 nd use the battery was dead within 2 strands of hair. Had somewhere to go. Takes 3 hours to charge and no option to use corded while charging. Not worth the money. Good idea but fails.

My family went boating all day and swimming. We we're going out to dinner after and it was so nice I didn't have to worry about my hair while on the boat! I just used my flat iron on the way to the restaurant! SO convenient!

I had such high hopes for this, as we are always on the road and in a hurry. The concept of it was perfect, like a busy person's dream come true. I followed directions correctly, charged it up, and it just didn't perform like other flat irons i have had. will be returning it.

I got this as a birthday present. I have very fine oily hair thats a little past my shoulders. I straighten my hair nearly daily. I was super excited to get this. I charged it up and followed the instructions. The heating is an absolute joke! I normally can straighten my hair at 250-325 degrees. I turned this product up to FOUR HUNDRED the highest setting and it didn't even begin to do anything to my hair. I could touch the plates. They weren't even hot!! Returned the product the next day.

Looks nice and love the concept of cordless iron. Unfortunately, it did not get hot enough to flat iron or curl my hair. I could touch the plate with my finger and it be warm but not hot enough...didn't even burn or hurt finger when touched. Had to return.

Bought this thinking it would be so awesome and I wouldn't have to worry about cords. It was absolutely horrible and never got hot enough. My hair is pretty straight, I usually just like to go over it to eliminate any frizz etc. It also loses charge within 15 to 20 minutes, not 45!! I even purchased the one that also allows you to curl your hair when you loop it around the top...that didnt work either and it was almost impossible to maneuver! Stick with a flat iron that has a cord to plug in, trust me!!

The Conair Unbound Cordless Flat Iron is just what you need to style your hair in a variety of ways. It takes a minimal amount of time to curl or straighten the most difficult hair into soft locks. It comes with a charger cord, a heat-resistant storing pouch, and comes in a nice box that closes securely with a magnet fixture. The flat iron is reliable and doesn't damage my hair - it goes up to 400 degrees with auto off feature. The 4 heat settings help to modify for your hair thickness and the protected plates serve as a built in heat protectant. The titanium plates make your hair slide through this with ease. I love how portable it is and it doesn't lack power either! It does not take much space and can be charged in the car. It heats up quick and is great for traveling. It is effective but gentle on the hair. I usually get a great result after one pass. I definitely recommend this. Pretty good investment!

My hair is thick and long... battery didn't last for my whole hair. Didn't allow me to charge and style either. Probably would do great for short hair!

I used this product in place of my old flat iron and I was so impressed with the results. This left my hair smooth and sleek! The fact that there were no cords to get in my way was a delight. This includes a temperature display and 4 different heat settings. I would definitely recommend to others!

I am a big fan of Conair Products. This new Unbound Cordless,Rechargeable Flat Iron is a great new product for traveling, going to the gym, and quick overnight trips. I love how the temperature Setting and charging indicator light is easy to read. It holds the charge the whole time I use it on my hair. I feel the Titanium irons are the best on the Market. It styles my hair great, and there is no static in my hair. I have thin fine hair, and it works really well. It doesn't take up much room for storage, and I love the color.

The Conair hair straightener is great for on the go! I love that it is cordless! If I'm running behind going somewhere I can just put the straightener in my purse and do in car, gym, or work. I would recommend that you let the straightener fully charge over night before first use. The turn on and off button is inside the straightener. It's nice to not have to worry about turning it off by accident. My other straightener have the on/off on top or side of straightener. I also like the auto shut off this has. It turns off in 15 min if not using. The only down side to the straightener is if you have long hair the time to straightener hair is only 25 min before you have to charge again. I wish it would stay charged longer but again I use this straightener as an on the go one because cordless and I really like that it is!! I also like the purple color! It comes with a charger cord to charge the straightener and also a nice travel bag! I also like the box it comes it, a nice box with a magnetic open and close.

This straightener works just fine but has to be charged and only stays on for 25 minutes. I found it difficult to get my hair completely straightened without having to recharge. I like it but think a plug in variety better suited to my needs.

The Conair Unbound Cordless Straightener works great. It gets hot really quick and the charge last awhile. I've used it 4-5 times and still on the original charge. I love the color and it comes with a heat resistant bag for storage.

I cant really say the Conair Unbound Cordless flat iron is better than my usual flat iron except for the cordless part.That is the best thing about this flat iron,no dangling cord always me to be in better control.I will definitely use it because of that.
